*bows in greeting*
well now, if everyone's going to continue talking about the Beatles, I'll be off to be bored elsewhere for now...

Atari - Tok'ra (With my symbiote Jullinar) Posted Jul 5, 2004
Fry, you really are going through the same music phases I was at your age - trust me, although slipknot are better than most of the nu-metal crap out there, there is so much better music around! Soulfly, for instance!

I don't listen to any of it!!!!
I'm still not entirely over the 90's, and I was bored enough with old metal to stay as far as I can manage from numetal....but then again, I think I might have become old at some point, and not noticed...

*bows to everyone*
Now I know a lot of people don't *love* the Beatles as much as I do...and I'm 24, so there's even fewer people *my age* who love them...which could explain why most of my mates are older than me
But I am a bit of a music ...I love the Doors, and Patsy Cline, and Jeff Buckley, and Queens of the Stone Age and Tool...
...and I don't understand why no one else has the same taste as I do

Don't feel bad, nobdy's even HEARD of some of my favorite bands.
I'm listening to the strokes right now. Their new album, since somebody stole my copy of the first one.
I'm stuck in so many different eras. I listen alot to the pixies and June Panic and Nick Cave and Leonard Cohen and god knows what all else.
What were we talking about again?

tanzen Posted Jul 5, 2004
And know and love all of them, except for June Panic, who I have never heard of...
...have you heard the new Pixies song ??

June is from North Dakota area, I believe, and hardly anyone has heard of him.
You are joking about a new pixies song.....right?
There was no mystical magical reunion I was uninformed of....right?

tanzen Posted Jul 5, 2004
Seriously, there is a new Pixies song! I think you can download it from their website, it's not an official release or anything, but it *is* new, and it *is* the Pixies...dead honest to God serious!!
I think they were touring too, but they weren't coming down here...because no one ever comes down here (I shouldn't see that, I saw the Breeders the year before last, Elvis Costello, the White Stripes, Placebo and am going to see Belle & Sebastian soon !)
PS You know Thirsty Dog by Nick Cave? That's my theme song !!

I can't find their site, tanzen, but I found an article about their tour. How in the universe did I not know about this?!
post if you are bored
tanzen Posted Jul 5, 2004
The site is
http://www.4ad.com/artists/catalogue/pixies/
I think you have to pay to download it though...not too sure how it works (they play it on the radio here )
I only found out because my mate listens to the radio...I've become such a musical recluse these days that I'm usually the last person to find out anything
