White Hole (Write a Haiku!) Posted Jul 12, 2003
Yo-Yo Ma graduated from Harvard and took lessons at Juliard. I think that's enough of a compliment to America's interests in classical. Also, the use of the cello is rapidly growing in America among both youger people and adults.

hello there! (no, i'm not running the place, you'll have to wait for danny to come along and hand out a badge...) there's a number of us hanging out at the 'guitar-related injuries' forum (go to the musicians' guild main page, you'll find the thread there) - come along and join the crowd!

Hiya, can I join?
I play drums (yes, I know some of you would say it isn't a real instrument, but you would be so wrong...), guitar, bass guitar, piano, and I take professional singing lessons. The instrument I've played for the longest time is drums, which I've been at for ten years now...
I'm a huge fan of Dave Matthews Band, Liquid Tension Experiment, Cake, and, well, anything that involves good musicians.

Hi, all! Can I join?
I play the piano, cello, and violin (well, just starting lessons in a couple of weeks, so, whatever...)
I love classical, but jazz, new age, latin, and rock have their unique appeal. I love Romantic Period stuff--Brahms, Mendelssohn, yah. I also love The Beatles, so I'm not musically conservative, either.
I'd love to be able to use that sweet badge, frankly. I like the look of it, and the music notes on my Space look icky.
And finally, my name is Semiquaver. So if I don't join, I'll look ridiculous .
thanx!

Yes! Thank you! Now I can say to random friends that I am a member of a respectable h2g2 guild and watch their faces crash and their limp bodies fall to the ground as the noninterest consumes their soul!
Yay, I'm going to go get the banner, thanks farlander

Hey!
What about me? Do I get to join as well? Or have I been weighed and found too light? Or perhaps you didn't see my posting...

the guitarists of the musicians' guild have gotten together to write a collaborative article on guitar-related injuries (A1106939). come over and have a look - and if you have any equally ghastly stories to share, i'm sure there's space for it

Phew, apology accepted...
Now I can finally embed that fancy badge into my page....
Though, when will I get my name on the membership page?
Just couldn't find my name there... Though I found semiquaver...
You haven't forgotten that as well?
This could turn out to be really interesting, but I suppose it could just as well be my normal case of "Tunnel Vision"....

Thanks.. I didn't mean to sound harsh or anythingin my last post...
Just wanted to secure no further mistakes were made...
I'll go ask my friends now if they've had any nasty or grotesque injuries related to guitars...

I've got a guitar that I'd like to _give_ a few nasty or grotesque injuries to...does that count?
