Crossed Purposes - February 2004

Kes is sitting right here at the bar in his usual spot. He does look sort of comatose, now that you mention it.
*waves a pint of Hobgoblin under Kes's nose.*
No reaction! Do you think he's ok??
btw, I'm happy to know that Mary W. has had no discernible impression on the greater British public.

*Places a fresh in front of Kes*
Are you sitting comfortably boys and girls? Then why not take a peek here?

*hauls herself out of a slough of nostalgia*
Spotty was my favourite in The Woodentops, but Looby Loo in Andy Pandy terrified me!
I need a at the very thought of her scary eyes.

I loved the Woodentops and especially Spotty Dog. Do you think that Mrs Woodentop was having a fling with Sam the gardener?
I remember that at the end of every Andy Pandy episode, when Andy, Teddy and Looby Loo climbed into the toy box, I used to go round the back of our telly and shout to Teddy to hurry up and get in the box.

I knew it was 'cos Teddy didn't like Looby Loo either and he wanted Andy Pandy to himself!
Mrs Woodentop and Sam? That would explain the smug look on her face

Three's a crowd an' all that!
That's funny, as I had always thought that Sam the gardener looked rather smug too...

Never mind Hypatia! At least you had the chance to emerge from your childhood relatively unscathed or corrupted by telly programmes.
*Wanders off in search of a flower pot to put her teddy in*

*admiring glances at Gwennie wandering around dressed in a Teddy and searching for some pot in flower*
This is an adult thread isn't it?

*Pleased that her double entendre was picked up on*
Well done WR! You never fail to disappoint me! That is just the sort of lewd comment I would have expected from your quarter...
*Looks around for some adults and failing to locate any, pours WR and herself a couple of Hobgoblins*
As a reward, you can look after my teddy for me until I find a big enough flowerpot to put it in...
*Tosses a huge stuffed teddybear in WR's direction, hitting him in the face*
Whoops! Mind you don't spill your !

What soil do you plan to plant your teddybear in?
Will it flower or just grow foliage?
Perhaps it will grow faster if we water it with Hobgoblins?
Crossed Purposes - February 2004
Gwennie Posted Feb 14, 2004
A rich, loamy peat-based soil would do and encourage lots of teddy blossom and foliage but I think the Hobgoblin should be kept as a refreshment.
Besides, I am celebrating Wales winning their game against Scotland this afternoon and am in the mood for several Hobgoblins as ing at those hunky rugger chaps has made me rather dehydrated!

Dad has two tickets for England v Wales at Twickers, I can see a squabble ensuing between H and No1 and No2 brothers as to who gets them
More I think!

Gwennie Posted Feb 15, 2004
I think Caer, that in order to prevent ill feeling and jealousy between the male members of your family, you should confiscate the Twickers ticket and use it yourself.

Caer, I'm sure Gwennie would be very happy to accompany you just to make sure nobody tries to attack you and snatch your tickets...!
Of course, she could find all those rugged rugger rumps just too much to look at!
