Mari-rae, I made fishcakes (minced salmon, parsley and lemon) for starters and served them with fried comb-mussels (?), shrimps and a lime-dill-cream-sauce, lightly sweetened with honey).
The main course was babi-ketjap from Indonesia (safron-rice and a casserole of pork, soy-sauce, ginger, chili, onions and garlic, served with bananas, salt peanuts, raisins, coconut, chutney etc.
And my stomach kept me awake all night long

I have a 5 year contrat with Bear!!! (The 31st is our anniversary.)
Each year he askes me to marry him. I mean we are married...
Oh this is confusing...every year...since 1992 Bear has asked me to marry him. I said yes once & the next thing I knew I was having a panic attack in front of a bunch of people I'd never seen before. That's why I have no good pictures of me...they all look like a deer caught in the headlights of an on-coming bus.
If I had it to do over...I wouldn't have said yes. Now, mind you, the man treats me better than he treats his dog. That's what I call true love. But 'if' only I had turned around and said, "Hey, tell ya' all what...let's go on out to the reception and party?!? You all get to keep your gifts...and EVERYbody goes home happy."
Run...or stay...but marriage, no way...

I only married because it was the easy way out - at least that's what I thought at the time . The alternative was filling out tons of paper about health insurance and who gets the kids in case one of the parents dies and so on and so forth.
Anyway, wasn't that poor man in Utah punished hard enough already? I mean think about it: 5 (FIVE!) mother-in-laws at the same time...
