OK, OK ... you only had to ask! I'll stop whistling.
*Takes Dragonfly's hands, and helps her up*

(I meant hose)
::gets helped up, becomes helpless when looking into Kes's eyes::
Errr... was... I watering the plants!?? Or what!??
Hatifnat's Cactus Study Garden
Kes Posted Nov 27, 2000
(I figured you meant hose ... If you'd hit me with a house, I wouldn't be standing now ...)
The plants are watered ... so "or what" is the other choice .... You're shaking! Here, let me hold you ... (Hehehe!)

*Hears the sound of approaching thunder, and starts shaking himself. Lets go of Dragonfly so quickly she nearly fall over*
Ah! yes - Zeus - Ooops! soory ... you OK? Good ... not that I'm frightened of him, you understand ... er ... I'll just go and coil the hose up.

He does have this reputation for frying people he takes a dislike to .... so I won't tell, if you don't ... Deal?

Hi, there! It's only me.
You've done a nice work with the watering. All my dearest cacti are smiling. Thank you, thank you!!!
Would you mind if I mop up the floor now?

Kes Posted Nov 27, 2000
Ah yes! We were a little enthusiastic with the hose ....

*has finished the mopping, sits on the sofa and feels herself complacent*
It was just the right time to do some Christmas cleaning. Also it smelled a little burnt turkey here.
*takes a great draught of C*
How are you at this wonderful/scrubby/sunny/cold and windy/cosy/laborious morning?

You are right about the poor ex-turkey! Well, for me, it is mid-afternoon, I begin to feel a little weary from work, but it is indeed a wonderful day ... soon I'll be able to escape into it!
Very cold where you are?
Hatifnat's Cactus Study Garden
Hati Posted Nov 27, 2000
It depends. For me about 25 degrees too cold, -3 degrees C at the moment and quite windy, about 8-10 m/s. It's common weather for Nov 27th here and I dislike it so much. Sun rose at 8.47 today and it sets down at 15.33 already. No snow, all dark. I really hate it and it gets only worse until Christmas.

Yes, I agree. When I lived in UK (not as cold as you, I know) I found the dark winters very hard ... They wouldn't be so bad if you got a "real" summer to follow them, but ..... Still, Christmas feels better in cold weather, I think.

But, alas, no real summer here. Well OK, sometimes we have some warm weeks, about 28...32 degrees but this is too much then because the air is quite damp. Usually the summer here is littlebit chilly, about 18...25 degrees above 0, water in the sea is about 10...20 degrees (I couldn't swim this summer because I couldn't manage to have my 4 free days on the only warm week we had).
But we have a long and beautiful spring here, that's something I like. And sometimes we have white Christmas, too. But lately the winters get warmer and warmer and so the snow stays down only in January.
Huh, this was a long weather report.
Even the sun came out while I was writing it.
I hope, this year we have the white Christmas.
*starts singing*
"I'm dreaming of the white Christmas
Just like the one I ..."

...
Where the treetops glisten,
And children listen
To hear sleigh bells in the snow.
As the question of snow is raised here every year this song is still very popular on our radio stations (and I work in one of them).
We can go on singing.
BTW Foxy Manors Bar reached 2500 some minutes ago, party time again!
