*walks in this quite desolated place, removes the coat of dust from the little filing cabinet in the back corner and takes out the bottle of whisky, finds a glass and a cosy place to stay*

*Hears a noise from the back of the Library ... walks around*
Oh hello Hati! Haven't seen you for a while. It's very quiet in here, isn't it? How are you?
*Sniffs the air*
That wouldn't be whisky I can smell, would it?
Hatifnat's Cactus Study Garden
Hati Posted Jan 22, 2001
Well...... that is whisky of course.
*feels a little caught out, then OTOH she don't like to be alone so...*
Do you want some? I think I can find another glass if I search around .

Kes Posted Jan 22, 2001
Er, thank you ..
*looks round, a bit guiltily*
I don't think anyone will mind .. that's most kind of you. What have you been doing since we last met?

Hati Posted Jan 22, 2001
Somethind like ... Life, The Univerese and Everything. And building the snow castle in the majic forest http://www.h2g2.com/F26140?thread=93470&post=829642 . The weather has been quite depressive IRL for me and also for my cacti. Now things are getting better. And as I don't have any problem to mention about that needs permanent attending I can sit here in the library and enjoy the whisky. And I have made pancakes. I think I have made about 453 pancakes since we met last. Here, I have some here, too. Do you prefer strawberry jam (homemade) or honey (neighbor-made)?

Hi, Dragonfly!
Do you like pancakes? I make them usually every weekend in remarkable amount. You should visit me sometimes IRL .
But of course I have some of them here for you. Jam or honey?

...What about peanut butter and maple syrup!!???
Hatifnat's Cactus Study Garden
Kes Posted Jan 23, 2001
I'll go for the home-made jam (despite the little seeds that get in your teeth) ..and when I pop out for more whisky ...er, supplies, ..I'll get some lemons and sugar ... I like lemon juice on pncakes ..
These pancakes are great, Hati! Thanks.

Yum Yum Yum!!!!

Hati Posted Jan 24, 2001
To be honest I never tried to eat pancakes with lemon juice, peanut butter or maple syrup. I like them best with strawberry or raspberry jam.

Interesting how tsates vary isn't it? I have difficulty with the maple syrup concept ... Still, at least we're all agreed on the pancakes as a good idea. I wonder if they'd work with ..... CHOCOLATE !!! ?
Hatifnat's Cactus Study Garden
Hati Posted Jan 24, 2001
I have tried. The best result I got was when I put some choc granules in the dough. But then the dough must be made with yeast. But it won't work with pancakes made of acidified milk - that will taste terrible.
Sorry for my English , I hope you understand what I mean with these words, they sound little funny for me, too, but I don't know the proper ones.

Your words are fine - I understand completely. Yes - chocolate in with the batter - good idea! ... COuld use a similar idea for waffles!
.. but for now, I'll have another plain pancake ... with a squeeze of lemon juice and a little brown sugar ...
*Squeeze, sprinkle, roll, CHOMP!*

*takes a pancake and spreads the dark heather honey on it, then rolls the cake and bites... yummi-yummi, then some fresh milk from the farm and life seems to be perfect*
OTOH whisky is also good.
