Hatifnat's Cactus Study Garden
Kes Posted Nov 10, 2000
Well, right now, I am rather hoping that Zeus won't show up. I would probably be in line for a thunderbolt just for holding your hand ....
We have been through Erato's domain ... and we're here now in Clio's .. I'm sure they approve, or they would have acted by now, wouldn't they?
Talking about? We are talking about .... possibilities .... things that may happen ... about many universes ... each with a different probability ... in some, an event will take place, in others, it never happened .. just possibilities .
*The books are hoping he will sieze the moment, even though they know his shy nature. They watch closely*

I see...
::smiles::
Haven't seen that Zeus around for so long... I certainly hope he doesn't strike you with a thunderbolt!!! He's so jealous... I can't believe such sweet girls have him as their father... they are truly their mother's daughter...
As long as I have any say in the matter, you won't be harmed by any dieties!!!
::smiles again::
I hope Hatty doesn't feel ignored...
::gets up::
I'm going to check up on the darling...

Kes Posted Nov 10, 2000
Of course ...
*The books grumble quietly as they see Dragonfly move away. Kes is content to wait ...*

::looks around for Hatty::

Kes Posted Nov 11, 2000
*Kes decides to call Dragonfly back, so they can talk ...*
Hey - Mnemosyne .. ..
*The silence of thousands of books suddenly paying intense attention to the one word ....whispering "He knows!" *

::answering::I-- ehhh....
::walking over:: I couldn't find her... she must've gone off somewhere...
Do you need more punch!?? A cookie!?? Is there anything I can get for you....!??
Hatifnat's Cactus Study Garden
Kes Posted Nov 12, 2000
Yes, thank you - a stiff drink would be useful ... If you are the mother of these Muses, then that makes you about ... erm ... well, let's say you look remarkable, considering you've been around for that long? How do you manage it?

I think this punch is the stiffist drink in the library... and you are lucky to have that!!! You should know there is no food or drink allowed in most libraries!!!
::crosses shoulders::
::grins::
::sits beside Kes and whispers in his ear::
It's the nectar of the muses that keeps me looking so young...
Hatifnat's Cactus Study Garden
Kes Posted Nov 12, 2000
*Kes finds the closeness of the whispering quite distracting.*
Ah! Nectar, I see, even with all those ears .. er, I mean years .. you don't look a day over , er .. I mean you look absolutely g .. er, well, yes - nectar must be a stronger drink than the punch even ...
*He subsides into staring silence, quite forgetting that he should not stare*

::winks::
I bet Hatty went off to the bathroom... that Hall of Bathroom History is quite interesting...

Kes Posted Nov 13, 2000
Really? In that case, perhaps you'd show me around ...?

OK!!!
::jumps up off of the bench and offers her hand to Kes without thinking::

Kes Posted Nov 13, 2000
*There are some things that Kes doesn't hesitate about. he takes her hand, and is led away. The books murmur in approval.*

::Realizes she is holding hands with Kes::
::wonders how she might get her hand back...::

*checks in*
Well, they're gone.
*cleans up the room, waters flowers, opens the windows, puts the books in order*
I guess I need a drink.
*starts to Foxy Manor*

*rushes in*
Oh, how cold is in here. Just a right place for my flu. Better not.
*closes all the windows and puts a small but quite drunken cactus on the shelf*
You are too young to hang around in the bars! You heard what they said about tequila...
