Potential activities for the meetup!
Baldrick Posted Nov 4, 2000
I've got my underground guide for any lost souls.

Good, I'll need to make use of that to get from Victoria Coach Station to the Towers (or wherever we will all be meeting up).
I think Munchkin suggested laser tag if ice skating is off the cards. And I think bowling came up too.

Ice skating looks to be almost out - the only central London ice rink is in the City at Broadgate and is only open for two hours in the afternoon.
Bowling sounds good to me

It was fun last time. Even though I'm not very good at it.

I'm really crap at bowling - but at least it would probably be warm enough for us t-shirt owners to display them for all the rink to see

The thing about Quaser, Laser Quest etc. is that I always lose through no fault of my own. The LEDs that they have to mark which team is which are always either red or green, and being colourblind, how am I supposed to know what's red and what's green? I always am brilliant at shooting my own team because of this.
Why is it that they can't ever chose colours no-one has problems with? Red and green are just too identical.

Bowling sounds good to me. I'm very suprised at the lack of ice rinks though. Aren't they popular any more?

Too cold, I expect.

Erm... aren't ice rinks meant to be?!
This world is bizarre. I think I'll hitch a lift somewhere else as soon as my thumbs grow back.

Did they fall off?

Well, Peregrines don't have opposing thumbs you see, but I'm metamorphising into a Mountain Gorilla for a change. They get more sympathy, Peregrines are no longer an endangered species.

I'm not really here Posted Nov 5, 2000
Bowling is cool.
Can we have the guard up on the gutter on my lane?
Potential activities for the meetup!
The Fish Posted Nov 5, 2000
I'm sure no-one else will mind
BB you better not win AGAIN this time!
Anyway... if we can get enough lanes and enough space to cause wantent distruction.... Then I'm sure we'd all be happy

So Long and Thanks for all the Fish(Deceased) Posted Nov 5, 2000
I'll do bowling

I think they choose red and green LEDs because they're the two cheapest colours. I think blue ones would be really cool but they're pretty expensive. Not as expensive as white ones, though.
Who cares about teams anyway? Whenever I've played it's been total anarchy. Much more fun that way

Oooh... bowling
It is certainly sociable... although if Anna scores 42 and Mark wins again, I will be certain that they have managed to *fix* the lanes!

Don't worry. I'll be there this time, twisting probability around my little finger. Do you want me to make it highly likely for you to win?

shazzPRME Posted Nov 5, 2000
Thank you MaW, but if the lanes are set up correctly... with a decent layer of oil, then I should be able to manage that all on my own
