If you wanted that star that shines so brightly
To match the stardust in your eye
Darling, I would chase that bright star nightly
And try to steal it from the sky
And I would bring
Sweets for my sweet, sugar for my honey
Your first sweet kiss thrilled me so
Sweets for my sweet, sugar for my honey
I'll never ever let you go

'Cause this is thriller
Thriller night
And no one's gonna save you
From the beast about to strike
You know it's thriller
Thriller night
You're fighting for your life
Inside a killer
Thriller tonight, yeah

Thrill me, thrill me,
walk me down the lane where shadows will be, will be,
hiding others just the same as we'll be, we'll be,
when you make me tell you, "I love you."

The shadow of your smile
When you have gone
Will color all my dreams
And light the dawn
Look into my eyes, my love, and see
All the lovely things, you are, to me

You can't hide your lying eyes and your smile is a thin disguise.
I thought by now you'd realize, there ain't no way to hide your lying eyes.

Lyin', cheatin', hurtin'
That's all you seem to do
Running around with ev'ry guy in town
Putting me down for thinking of someone new

Jabberwock Posted May 11, 2006
Your cheatin' heart will make you weep
You'll cry and cry and try to sleep
But sleep won't come the whole night through
Your cheatin' heart will tell on you

You've been talkin' in your sleep
Sleepin' in your dreams
With some sweet lover
Holdin' on so tight
Lovin' her the way
You used to love me
Talkin' in your sleep
With lovin' on your mind
Morning

Holding back the years,
Thinking of the fear I've had for so long.
When somebody hears,
Listen to the fear that's gone.
Strangled by the wishes of pater,
Hoping for the arm of mater,
Get to me sooner or later,
Nothing ever could, yeah.
I'll keep holding on,
I'll keep holding on,
I'll keep holding on,
I'll keep holding on.

We skipped the light fandango,
and turned cartwheels 'cross the floor,
I was feeling kind of sea sick,
but the crowd called out for more,
the room was humming harder,
as the ceiling flew away,
When we called out for another drink,
the waiter bought a tray..
(comment ..typical night out down the pub eh?)

I hope I'm being fair here - goldmartinus is very welcome to this game, but it is a conversation - linking each entry in some way to the previous one - and it's not a soliloquy, so I'll just regard the last two entries as refugees from the random song lyric thread and continue from LadyC's 13049.
Hold on John, John hold on
It's gonna be alright
You gonna win the fight
Hold on Yoko, Yoko hold on
It's gonna be alright
You gonna make the flight
When you're by yourself
And there's no-one else
You just have yourself
And you tell yourself
Just to hold on

Let's hang on to what we've got
Don't let go girl we've got a lot
Got a lot of love between us
Hang on hang on hang on
To what we've got

Goldmartinius - thank you for your advice. By all means explain, like I asked you to. As I said, you'd be very welcome here. But there is a random song thread as an alternative, which I see you subscribe to - and if you can't explain the connections here how can we? If you can explain, go right ahead - I've been wrong before.
We also don't answer our own contributions, hence my reference to soliloquys. I know you're new, and we like to welcome new members, but all you have to do to get a sense of this game is check out some of the recent contributions.

You just call out my name
And you know wherever I am
I'll come running to see you again
Winter, spring, summer or fall
All you have to do is call
And I'll be there
You've got a friend

Neighbours, everybody needs good Neighbours
With a little understanding, you can find the perfect blend
Neighbours, should be there for one another
That's when good Neighbours become good friends

I lit out from Reno, I was trailed by twenty hounds
Didn't get to sleep last night 'till the morning came around.
Set out runnin' but I take my time
A friend of the devil is a friend of mine
If I get home before daylight, I just might get some sleep tonight.
