A Conversation for The Cricket Pitch

Hello. What is the Cricket Club? Does it have anything to do with actual cricket? I'm from the U.S.A. and I know next to nothing about cricket. Then agian, I know next to nothing about baseball either so there you go.
Do any of you people on the team like Doctor Who? If so, I drew a picture of a cyberman at bat that I could post. Why a cyberman playing cricket? I have no idea.
I'll be off now, wandering around h2g2 til get the hang of this site.

If you look at the dates on the postings at the bottom of the Cricket page, you will see that there has not been much activity here since last summer.
If you click on the 'front page' button on the toolbar above, it will take you to a page where there are listings for the most active places on the site.

On the other hand, if you visit a conversation thread that is really old and post to it you can often revive it, which is 
Mind you, this isn't an old conversation, it's a new conversation in a place which isn't that busy right now, so what i just said isn't necessarily relevant 
Still, I don't see why everything should be relevant.

yes, it kind of has to do with actual cricket... but more talking than playing!
