Winds Of Change...(Day4)
ox Posted Aug 3, 2000
*returns to camp...realizes it's time to go in search of food...again*
Winds Of Change...(Day4)
ox Posted Aug 3, 2000
*portages kayak to area of beach where entering the water would miss the highest part of the reef and paddles through the steady rush of incoming surf to deeper water...
...turning the kayak to look back at the waves beating the beach gives ox an idea*
CARVE A SURFBOARD!!!!
*puff puff paddle paddle*
Winds Of Change...(Day4)
ox Posted Aug 3, 2000
*newly inspired, ox makes the beach in record time, wanting to surf before the gods get angry again and take away the toys. He quickly finds and drags a previously felled palm back to camp and begins hacking the wood into a board with just a slight curve. With some of the remaining sharkskin ox begins to sand and smooth the surface..sweat pouring, muscles aching...nevermind...*
SURF'S UP!!!
Winds Of Change...(Day4)
stinkywigfiddle Posted Aug 3, 2000
*Kiddo comes running from the other camp*
Kiddo: Eatsmice is going to blow up that airplan gun and probably kill everyone and...oh, a surf board, neat.
Winds Of Change...(Day4)
ox Posted Aug 3, 2000
Eatsmice loves things that go boom! *he he* I guess we'd better lay low although he's an excellent shot!
Wanna go for a ride?
*grabs Kiddo and carries board through surf, they climb on and paddle out to deep water.*
HANG ON...HERE IT COMES...CAREFULL...STAND UP EASY...NOW!!!!!!!
*a 20 foot wave catches them and they ride the crest FAST toward the beach beyond*
WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
*without a doubt an excellent ride, dude*
Winds Of Change...(Day4)
stinkywigfiddle Posted Aug 3, 2000
Kiddo: AAAAAAHHHHH! *flies off of the surf board and into the water*
*glug, gulp,*
Winds Of Change...(Day4)
ox Posted Aug 3, 2000
Don't swallow that salty stuff! Reminds me...I'm thirsty. Guess I'll go for water at the fall...
Winds Of Change...(Day4)
stinkywigfiddle Posted Aug 3, 2000
*Kiddo drags himself to shore, coughing.*
Man do I hate salt water. Mind if I join you at the waterfall?
Winds Of Change...(Day4)
ox Posted Aug 3, 2000
*returns again, stokes fire, grabs spear and goes fishing. Carefully stepping in the water near the reef shallows he spears one after another and finally has enough to feed several people*
I'd better get these cleaned and cooked before something else happens...
Winds Of Change...(Day4)
ox Posted Aug 4, 2000
*lies back in sand looking at the stars and realizes that although he's made friends at both camps there are those he will not trust. Ah, well...
Cutting a piece of sharkskin with the sharpened shell and taking his empty coconut, he hurries to the rocks where he killed the giant spider that morning. He lays the skin across the top of the coconut shell and ties it round with a strand of palm fiber. Then he crams it first over one of the fangs, milks the venom, then the other fang*
I don't want to poison my spears, but I will...
*hides in various places*
Winds Of Change...(Day4)
ox Posted Aug 4, 2000
*sits by fire on the beach and finishes weaving palm leaves together for hammocks in the hut*
There's still cooked fish if anyone comes by hungry...
*walkabout*
Winds Of Change...(Day4)
stinkywigfiddle Posted Aug 4, 2000
*Kiddo comes from the peaceful bay*
Kiddo: Ah fish. I think I'll try cooking my crab (not crap).
*He tosses the crab around on the hot coals and eats some fish. I realizes that he has no idea how to cook a crab so he takes it off the coals before it's burnt.*
*He then crawls into the shelter to get some sleep. He tosses around a bit and gives it up.*
Kiddo: Maybe I'll go on a quick little walk.
*Strolls down the beach*
Winds Of Change...(Day4)
ox Posted Aug 4, 2000
*takes green palm leaves, soaks them in salt water and wraps Kiddo's crab in them and sets it off to the side of the coals to steam*
It'll be done by the time he gets back...
*starlight walkabout while sharpening spear*
Winds Of Change...(Day4)
stinkywigfiddle Posted Aug 4, 2000
*Back from the hilltop*
*Kiddo finds his crab fixed up properly. He wasn't really hungry now so he just crawled back into the shelter that he didn't help build. He crawled back out to sleep under the stars.*
*After some time he drifted off to sleep*
At Peace With The World...(Day 5)
Matthew Kershaw Posted Aug 4, 2000
* As slumber takes hold the inhabinants of this tribe, they nestle onto their somewhat harsh flax bedding... *
* After a hectic day Ox is pleased with his labours, especially making sure the crab was done to perfection & of course, hanging ten... *
* The night passes dreamily, some even get lulled into believing life on a tropical island is a serene existence... *
* The daybreaks on yet another picture perfect Sunrise... *
The Sting...(Day 5)
Matthew Kershaw Posted Aug 4, 2000
* As the tribe slumber well into mid-morning a snake gradually finds it's way into the shelter... *
The Sting...(Day 5)
ox Posted Aug 4, 2000
*in the grey fog between sleep and awake ox suddenly realizes a snake is slithering around the hut (which, by the way, is nothing to sneeze at...an airy, clean, beach cabana!
*Sitting up carefully, ox slowly reaches out and grabs the serpent by the neck. It's beautiful bands of red, yellow and black make it look like a deadly coral snake, but it is only a scarlet kingsnake foraging for little lizards*
Hey, little fellow...what are you doing on the beach?
The Sting...(Day 5)
ox Posted Aug 4, 2000
Hey, Bill! What's up? I've been roaming around and it seems someone won the challenge last night...I missed it! Guess that's about that...
The Sting...(Day 5)

The only thing that confuses me about Survivor Online is when Day begins and night ends and so on. Obviosly we can't stick to BST because this is an international thing.
