Good thing you've got the Pan Galactic scanner...I'm not carrying plastic or cash!

Witty Moniker Posted Aug 9, 2000
Hi, VAL. I can arrange delivery, but you have to leave a thread address.
Did you lose your shoes, again?

Kitty Posted Aug 12, 2000
*Kitty has found what he wants - a very Very VERY BIG ball of wool - and carries it out of the store. The scanner portal obigingly registers his purchase on Mad Hatter's credit balance*

I'm glad you enjoyed camp.
Hey, is that you wearing the hat on the Leaders Page? That is some site you put together! And all just for Net guides. I seem to remember that a US council is putting together some kind of Internet program, but I'm not really sure what the structure is, I'll have to research it a little.
Our main site is http://www.gsusa.org/
How is kitty?

Peet (the Pedantic Punctuation Policeman, Muse of Lateral Programming Ideas, Eggcups-Spurtle-and-Spoonswinner, BBC Cheese Namer & Zaphodista) Posted Sep 16, 2000
Hi, folks! Are this months' "Romulan's Wives" and "Klingon Babes" in yet? Oh, and I'll have a cheese, mashed potato and sweetcorn sandwich with mayo on white bread, please.
* Starts trying to figure out the buttons on the replicators...

AEndr, The Mad Hatter Posted Sep 16, 2000
I'm in the hat in the photo on the leaders pages, indeed. For some reason, with my eyes shut!
I'm only in charge - others did most of the actual htmling and activity design
I've been to that GSUSA site a fair few times
say, are you on AllGirlScouts? an emailling list for (mainly US) leaders - I'm on it. I'm also on WAGGGS-L.
if you aren't and want info let me know, if you are then wave sometime.
Kitty is fine, still in the Antarctic at the moment, enjoying the winter.

Witty Moniker Posted Sep 16, 2000
Hiya, Peet!
*slides 2 magazines into a plain brown bag and hands it discreetly to Peet*
No replicators here, sir. I make everything fresh and store it in the Infinite Capacity Refrigerator. It's the Automated Retrieval System that makes it seem like the items are appearing out of nowhere. Here, I'll make your sandwich up fresh right now.
Ændr, I'm not an active leader right now. I'm a registered adult taking a break from the frustrations of dealing with the system, non-cooperative parents and incessant fund-raising. My 13 year old is out of scouting and my 8 year old is a 3rd year Brownie. So I don't get bored, I'm involved with 2 Parent Teacher Associations at their schools. I get in enough trouble doing that.
*wraps Peet's sandwich, including a kosher dill pickle on the side, and hands it to him*
Something to drink, Peet?

Witty, I don't suppose you carry Xyzzy News, do you? I've not been able to find an issue in almost a year.
24-7
AEndr, The Mad Hatter Posted Sep 17, 2000
well, if your daughter wants to try anything that is on the netguides brownie site, she's welcome. If she wants to swap a badge (I swap UK Friendship Badges) we could arrange that too.
do you have any copies of Current Archaeology? I let my subscription lapse a couple of years ago.
We aim to please!
Witty Moniker Posted Sep 17, 2000
Hmmm, Current Archeaology, now that's a bit of an oxymoron, isn't it? But I think I can ~dig~ one up for you. (nudge, nudge) Let me check in the storeroom.
Affy, of course I stock Xyzzy News. Look on the newspaper rack, it should be right between Yesterday's News and The Zanzibar Times.
*She pops off to the storeroom, returns shortly with several hot-off-the-press copies of C A. She hands one to Ændr and put the rest on the magazine rack.* Ændr, I've bookmarked the netguides site, I'll spend some time on it with my daughter once the back-to-school mayhem settles down a bit.
