*WM notices that dust has been accumulating in the store and begins tidying up the place. While she's at it, she cleans the coffee and Slerpee machines, changes the filters and tests the microwave.*

Hey Witty, my have you aged. I wonder if that slurpee will taste as good as it did those 20 years ago, when I left this place...

I really need to advertise Crater Labs, Inc. more often. If people would do this kind of thing in a 24-7, I bet that they'd do it in The Crater.

Affy, never say anything about anyone on h2g2 that they might not like. They'll find out...

Hello, Professor! Welcome to the 24-Seven. Can I make a sandwich for you, or perhaps you'd like a Slerpee?
We all know that everything on hootoo can be read by everyone. In all fairness, Chris, that post was concurrent with the thread you opened at the Atelier in which you asked us for advice. I'd say it's ancient history, now.

And how could I have been a muse for anyone else in that conversation? You, Garius, and myself are the only mad scientists in the Atelier, and Garius and I have have a working relationship.
However, I do see that when applied to the wrong context, that posting may have appeared somewhat cruel of myself.
Oh, and Dragonfly, that message has been applicable to practically every day of my life ever since I first posted it. But the original reason was that my mother was cured of cancer, much to the relief of the dozen or so churches spread across the country that people were praying for her in. She ended up healthier than anyone else in her group, too.

YAY!!! HUGS FOR EVERYONE!!!
That is terrific news, AFfy dear!!! YAY!!! I know how you feel... My mother went through the same thing, and she had Native Americans praying for her, Catholics, other Christians, et al. And of course herself and her family. Can't say there isn't Someone watching out for us!!!
And hello, Doctor Tonks.

Nice you have your people still hanging around. But what if somebody just dies evan though everybody prayed? I had that one in the family(well, not quite the direct family) The chap had cancer for more than a year. And none of the folks thought he could die, cause they were all super-holy, etc, and well, they evan missed the point to say goodbye in the end.
So, I hope there are more normal people hanging out, looking after each other, and making the time we have more interesting and good, then super-god-like-beings, of whom I am not at all sure if they exist...

What ho, all! Just thought I'd pop in and see what's going on around here.
A Slerpee? Sounds good. May I have one?
And good day to you, St Dragonfly. I have to say I've never been a doctor (though a Dr. Tonks will indeed appear in my second book), only ever a professor of science. And not in a uni either.

Help yourself, Professor. Just about everything is self-service here. You ~are~ aware that the Slerpeez are randomly flavoured, yes?
It's nice to see a new face in here. I just asked Colonel Sellars to put this place in his huge guide to hootoo, so we'll see what develops.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss, Englander. However, I've learned a few things by now. Bad things do happen to good people, God doesn't always answer prayers in the way we want Him to, etc. All we can do is hang in there, and hope to see them in the hereafter.
I know a girl at my school. She's been having a tough year. Her dad died, and she was dumped by her boyfriend very close to the first aniversary of her dad's death. She's somehow managing to hold on. A truly inspiring testimony.
And yes, hello Professor.
