Gosh I'm taling to a Guru.
Hi Amy the Ant.
I was facinated by the entry still under constuction about teching children programming skills.
I Started getting into cumputers with the ZX 81 (seemes so long ago now) Then moved up to the BBC series of computers. I just loved the idea of getting the machine to do someting practical.
I have been involved with education for some time seeing the changes, where one lucky tutor brought his own Comadore Pet into to the classroom. Now a student cannot work without a computer.
In the early day programming was tought, as a pretext that it would enable students to use computers. This today seems a silly thing to think. Most students have just about enough time to get to grips with whatever package thy use, before the next version apaers.
I do Think teaching children is usefull as a intersting way of getting children to think.
