A question:- Why when I posted to a NEW thread does the posting not show in my latest post list, does not show replies and has a minus 1 in the number of posts? I have had this particular one stuck in my ps now for nearly 2 days. I've been back to the thread, there has been no replies, so that bit is right, however still shows in my ps as minus 1 and that I have'nt posted at all in that thread.

ok, now I'm confused, this isn't a new thread, but my posting above is not showing in my PS and also a minus 1. i am gaining a lot of these now and it doesn't make sense as they're not clearing after a certain time either.
Any ideas anybody?

Traveller in Time getting used to it
"The singularities are indeed a real problem, as far as known all other negative postings will go away in reasonable short time (less then six hours).

I think it is interesting that the programming for the Conversation list updates even has the depth to relate to postings that have been made but are not reflected by the listing. The resulting -1 seems to be a good way to deal with physical limitations
While the details are being worked out it is at least nice that a researcher can see that something is happening, and more to the point nothing crashes or gives inaccurate info.
It is like having a friendly old librarian; she can account for a returned book but it takes a bit of time before you can find it on the shelf. The Conversation listings are similar to returning a book and going straight back to the shelf to find out the book's status.
Bottom line...

Just unsubscribe the same way as normal - eg via your h2g2 list.

You unsub from h2g2 convos from within the thread itself. That option isn't there on message boards. I'll try signing out of the message board and see if it unsubs in h2g2

If you go to your conversation list in h2g2 (<./>MP247740</.> you'll see little x symbols next to them (in the Brunel skin, anyway) which will allow you to unsubscribe from the conversations.
Signing out of the messageboards won't do anything with your conversations, and will sign you out of h2g2 as well.
