Deleting Journal entry
StoneyIsle Started conversation Dec 8, 2010
In My Space (logged in), I wanted to delete a journal entry, by using the...
"Remove this Journal Entry from your Space" link
but all it does is come up with....
"Request to Remove Journal Entry Completed"
"You can't unsubscribe from another person's Journal"
"Return to your Personal Space" (link)
I read in the h2g2 FAQ, that you can delete a journal entry but not edit one. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

Hi StoneyIsle. You can remove Journal entries from your Personal Space (they won't be deleted as such but hidden) but that's right, you can't edit them.
When you remove them you should get this text:
"Request to Remove Journal Entry Completed
This Journal Entry has been removed from your Personal Space. It has not been deleted, however, as it may form part of a Conversation that other Researchers, etc...
Return to your Personal Space"
If you're getting anything else it sounds like a bug. Has the entry gone from your Personal Space?

Hi.
Afraid not, I keep getting the "You can't unsubscribe from another person's Journal" even though I am logged into my own BBCiD account and on the "My Space" page.

It is a bug, and it's reared its head before. Cf.:
