Here's a little something to tickle your tastebuds.
I am not an expert cocktail drinker, so if all I've managed to reproduce here is a version of a well-known cocktail, can you please let me know!
Happy drinking!

Without the Curaco, I think it's a bit White-Lady-ish (only doesn't that have some disgusting egg-white in it too...?)
Anyway- glad you're keeping yourself out of mischief

Lubberly Can I have a platic drinks stirrer in a lovely sparkly blue shade with a little dragon on top? I used to get them at a Chinese Restaurant I used to frequent but ain't seen them since?
Monkeys just don't swing for me when I'm downing the ichor...
Good Entry too by the way...

Did you try it then, McKay?
I'm not keen on sweet cocktails myself, so usually avoid cocktails in general, apart from the occasional Martini.

Well I had to really - as I had all the ingredients. I used to be a cocktail barman some 25 years ago (briefly one summer) and maintain an interest.

This is an interesting little entry.
Not flashy, but a cute little story and it does what it says on the tin...
Nice one!

Thanks!
My little entry was feeling sad, lonely and neglected, and suddenly someone came along and noticed it!
Another name for this drink is, of course, Pan-Galactic Gargle Blaster

Fairy nuff. No, I'd actually like it to go into the guide as an Emerald Star, but if you ever get the chance to make one you might want to compare the effect to that of a PGGB!

It reminds of an evening I spent with a friend, drinking all the alcohol of a 'mate' of his who had abused his hospitality something rotten as a revenge. We eventually got down to Drambuie, creme-de-menthe and angostura bitters. The resulting green-and-brown concotion was given the wonderful name 'Kermit's Arse'. Luvverly.

Well, I hope you had a good night's sleep and woke the next morning bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, no trace of any throbbing behind the eyes, or thoughts that a small rodent had climbed into your mouth and died there overnight!
One of the concoctions that we managed got christened a "vile-tini". It involved pear-flavoured eau de vie and vanilla vodka. Go on, try it! I dare you!

Just a few quick comments:
- The capitalisation in the title should be reduced, so that it says 'How to Make an Emerald Star Cocktail'.
- What does the cocktail taste like? There scope for some excessive, Oz Clarke-style description here
- Are there any possible variations of the cocktail?

I've been given this to subedit and it's at A4241008. I don't expect to sample one before it's complete, though (being reasonably teetotal these days).
