erm.....JTG, I've recently put up an entry for Peer Review.
It's Conversation A626212 Heidegger's Ultimate Question
Could you take a look at it for me and deposit a posting there?
Be kind - not ordealish -
Actually, your comments would be very welcome
Thanks

Is this a two-ply thread or can anyone join in?
I've just 'come back' to h2g2 after a long while away - from your conversation can I assume that I could try again with stuff that was rejected (as long as it complied with house rules)?

Hi, Pip. Welcome back.
It's true that some of the best conversations ever have been written on toilet paper. Nonetheless, you're most welcome to join our chat.
There's nothing to stop you from trying again with an article previously rejected for one reason or another, as long as the reason it was rejected is taken into account. There are several things in my "Stuff" list which failed the first time around... as well as a lot that never stood a snowball's chance and never will . Something hinting at why your thing was turned down should have been sent to you, hopefully. In any event, there's no reason not to try again.

Thanks JTG
Points taken and absorbed!
By the way - I know its simple stuff but I never got the hang of smileys the first time round, can you give me a little direction on this topic?

There's a new page that lists an assortment of smilies that will knock your socks off...

Have fun!

ps Don't be shy about asking if you're puzzled by any other new feature.

Thanks, JTG. You're obviously a person well worth knowing!
Can I ask another favour though? Could you take a look at my GML version of my Entry - sorry to keep on - and see what you think and post it in the Peer Ordeal?
I'm not sure about it, compared with simple text.
Thanx,
Grime

I'm not a fan of starting out with a header, mainly because I'm a Classic Goo snob and it looks a bit superfluous under the title header. The only other thing is the coloured font, which will be removed at Subbing time. You could try to give the thing a little oomph instead. Hope this helps.

O'course there's no need to sit staring at your navel while you wait - unless you suspect something important might be about to happen there ... . The best way to pass the time is to get busy with something else.
JTG
... or knitting can be very rewarding, I'm told.

Yes, you're right........I've been gazing at my navel for three hours now and nothing's happened.
I'll have to take it philosophicallyand get on with life. Life? Don't talk to me about life
