Think of it as minimal intervention in the daily affairs of the population, leaving them free to express their own innate creativity, rather than being dominated by any one entity's vision of how things should be.

BTW, what're you going to give away next Peregrin? These items could all become collectable if you do it right.

Well, I suppose integrity can be boring and conventional if you're used to living on the shadier side of life. But I, for one, would vote for integrity over bribery any time. And promising nothing? You obviously haven't read The Celery's campaign statement. The difference is that The Celery is not promising material items in return for votes, where only a few benefit for a short time, he is promising good govenment and his own hard work to make h2g2 a stronger and better place for all.

No: convention is simply voting for candidates who make _empty_ promises. However, what if they made an empty promise of 'nothing'?
[to self] Hmm... I must look into this...

*Sighs*

Look, being popular and attractive is highly overated. Once you get them, you can kiss your free time good-bye because you have too many people who pretend to be your friends just so they can bask in your popularity. And once that starts, you have to *work* to become unpopular again. Meanwhile, you've been out having a real life instead of spending time on h2g2. Now who wants that?

What? No, of course it's a good thing!
The media tells us this all the time.
You've got to have the most 'friends' (people who are either scared of you or want to be known as someone you like) and be most attractive, so that all the POPULAR people of the opposite (or, in some cases, same) sex will want to have sex with you! Then you can all give each other some lovely STDs, back-stab your 'friends' and spread hate as you lie in pools of your own, alchohol-induced sick.

I'm simply telling the people what they want to hear. Indeed, once they start listening to Peregrin they will learn what life SHOULD be about, and how to improve it.

[Look, what do you mean I'm supposed to be on holiday? Sssh!]

You ain't seen me. - RIGHT!
