I'd like to write about King's Lynn, but I'm not quite sure where to start at the moment. Well, yes I am, I'll go to the library at some point, but would anyone like to offer any advice in the interim? What sort of information would you like to see if you were looking for an article about King's Lynn?

I won't be much help with your subject since I know nothing about it, but you might get some ideas of how to go about constructing your entry here: A1286886 The Royal h2g2 Geographical Society. You don't have to join if you don't want to (although you're certainly welcome to ), but there's several examples of what to include and how to set it up, and a members listing with their areas of familiarity.

I've had problems with finding researchers to help with Anglia things before.
If I was reading about K Lynn I'd want:
Location
travel info (are there buses, trains etc where can i get to? major roads?)
history (town wall, gates etc)
Shops, attractions, entertainment
Is there a hospital?
If I wanted to stay there where could I stay?
What sort of nightlife is there?
Has anyone famous come from K Lynn?
Erm...that'll do for now

I've written a fair bit. Any thoughts? Perhaps a bit overboard with the links? Not enough... something else? (Well, if I knew what there wasn't enough of then I'd just do it, wouldn't I? )
I can't find anything remotely useful to add as a related BBCi link though.

The opening paragraph is NOT making me want to read the rest of the entry. It's boring and about admin.

*rereads the rewritten bit*
I know it's not exactly gripping stuff, but Lynn isn't exactly a gripping town, is it? Anyway, that's just the general stuff that didn't fit into the article proper.
We had a meeting with the Regeneration Team from BCKLWN the other day - they're talking to council reps at all the schools and colleges, to find out what people like and dislike about the town. Basically we concluded that what we've got is average, and bits of it maybe even stretching towards GOOD, but definitely not great. In fact, what they said was quite similar to parts of my article - Railway Road is horrible, and the old town is quite nice, but there's nothing to do there.
Anyway, any feedback that isn't about the first paragraph?
Key: Complain about this post
