My ants have gone! No idea where, they just all pick a day to disappear. I have visions of 20,000,000 of the sods under my house, plotting nexts year's invasion!

, I like it! They'll not mind if I pour ant powder and boiling water over the entire garden then, I need to clear my veggie patch for next year!
I is doing 'The Good Life'! This could be a complete disaster and seeing as I'm crap at watering a solitary hanging basket, is probably doomed to failure already, but I'll give it a go!
Christ, I think I'm going mad with domesticity!

growing season is over now!
Well here it is at any rate the fields are full of crates full of the things, freshly picked....
Plant and if you get anything back after the birds have finished with it you'll have done well...

It's time for planting garlic & beans & peas & onions & stuff!
Still have to clear those weeds first though, that may be a major block to my plans!!
Bed, you're a Norfolk boy, have you got your beetroot yet?!!

I'm an uprooted Essex boy you mean
I know nuffink about plants!
I do try regularly to kill as many as I can though, it's easy, all I have to do is plant them and they die
Green fingered?
Not me
More like black fingered
More so since I hammered my thumb into submission the other week

Don't they grow beetroot in Essex then?
We were round my parents the other day when some folk they vaguely know leaned over the wall for a chat. They are from Swaffham with very thick accents and DDD, being a snobby Norfolk boy, was repeating their conversation under his breath to me but adding in comments about beetroot at the same time!
Seemingly it would have been funnier if I knew about Norfolk & beetroot!!
Hope your poor finger is OK, didja finish the house yet?

Finish is such a relative term
I've finished what I originally set out to do but now am thinking of doing another project so it looks like it may be never ending
Thumb is ok now, it looks worse than it is!
They don't grow much of anything in the part of Essex that I come from, more East London than Essex realy.
I know a lot of sugar beet is grown here abouts but not sure of beetroot but then I wouldn't know if they are one and the same thing, just related or even have no relation such is my horticultural mastery.

my have gone but now I have flies!
Have played the Good Life for two years and the harvest is in the freezer - but when you read the water bill its a toss up whether it would have been cheaper to buy them at the Spar!

Hmmm, I think my veggie plot will be more to keep me out of trouble and after the slugs we had this year, no doubt everything will be eaten within 10 minutes of planting!
We have a lovely cheap fruit & veg market at the bottom of the road - I may just buy a few pretty specimens and pass them off as my own!
