I'd never heard of it - but seems like a fine place to be - brought back an old memory of seeing Gentle Giant perform somewhere in Wolverhampton. (Probably)

A friend of mine was at Brinsford Polythechnic (Wolverhampton) in about 1974, and I was spending a weekend there. We'd started drinking Friday night, and Saturday afternoon someone came in raving about Gentle Giant and saying they were on - somewhere nearby - So we went.
However my main memories of the concert are dropping a can of Newcastle Brown Ale - which burst open, expolsively. I remember talking with some one about there being 7 people on the stage but only 6 people in the band - I remember the music being better live than on the albums I'd heard, but thats about it.

Nice entry. All I spotted was a missing word in this sentence:
"A simple stage was constructed at one of the building"
Also, might I suggest a footnote to indicate that if readers don't think they've heard of Waylon Jennings, they probably have - singing the theme tune to the Dukes of Hazzzard. In fact come to think of it, I've got a half-memory of reading somewhere that he also used to do the little narrative voice-overs between scenes?

Blimey, I'd forgotten all about that Dukes of Hazzard thing Not sure if he did the narratives too - I'll look into that and amend the footnote accordingly

Well, I'd only heard of him through the Dukes of Hazzard connection and then decided to investigate a little more...

Just want to remind any Scouts with spare picks that my four Austin-based entries (Antone's A3649980, Broken Spoke, Armadillo WHQ and Kenneth Threadgill) are interlinked, and since Kenneth Threadgill and the Broken Spoke have already been recommended, they can't go to the Front Page until the other two have been picked and are pending

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
