h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Welcome to the inside swimming pool. Why anyone would want a swimming pool when we have a beach is beyond
me, but I was asked to build a swimming pool with water-slides, diving boards etc, so build a swimming pool with that lot I did.
And here it is. We have swimming lanes and the diving area. There's a huge fun pool to your left. You an't
miss it - it's got the 30 foot long inflatable floating dolphin you can climb on... The whole complex is over twelve miles long, so you can do a lot of swimming. We have really cool water cannons too, which can soak anyone you point them at.
The smell is probably the chlorine.
So, have a good swim, and see if you can find a

People want a swimming pool for when the sea gets cold. And when it gets rough people don't ~usually~ like swimming in it, so a pool is slightly better.

We could have a prize for finding, but you're right, people do prefer pools when the beach is cold, but I don't think we get virtual coldness

*Has great fun going down the big, dark water slide called "The Black Hole" which is almost vertical the whole way down, and lands in the pool so fast that he creates a massive splash tidal wave, which sweeps the length of the pool, all 12 miles of it, and soaks both Eomando and Ming. *

*forgets being soaked through for a moment...*

I have *got* to have a go on that...

*mad dash for waterslides, gets there ~just~ before Eomando and slides down*
*creates a splash that isn't ~quite~ so big due to small height on Ming's part, but the splash everyone anyway*

No matter what I do, I get splashed. Oh well, may as well enjoy it.
*Runs to the slide, pushes in front of Eomando, and jumps down the slide again*
