I guess my topic will drift into D'dorf bahnhof around .. mm well .. between 11 and 12? would that do? yeah, leave around .. 10 .. ish?
Arrivals and Departures
Hapi - Hippo #5 Posted Jul 31, 2008
should I ?? I just thought I'd go to D'dorf and pop up? isn't that what one's supposed to do when traveling?
well.. after all .. I only live an hour from D'dorf
make that 90 minutes
petrol prices .. make that two hours
I thought I would park my car at D'dorf flughafen, and from there hop into D'dorf, then back again to the Flughafen, EEK ?? no ??
I mean .. I mean .. traveling through D wouldn't be that hard to plan, would it?
Ah quite some time ago I thought I would fly into D'dorf flughafen from Farawayishtan .. but pl*ns have changed since then I'm not flying in on Saturday, I'm flying out on Sunday to EEKland

I can still change that if you'd prefer .. but the return flight from EEKland, a week later, arrives a bit latish and DB appears to be unwilling to bring me home at that time of the night
which of course leads me to the next point can I legally drive my (foreign, uncertified, unlabeled, no doubt heavily polluting, not-TUV-certified) car into D'dorf?? If I can then I fear parking there would cost me a few arms and legs? ... I'm a bit attached to my arms and legs ...

Right, I still have to discuss the whole thing with my 'driver'.
Arrivals and Departures
Hapi - Hippo #5 Posted Jul 31, 2008
your 'driver'? yes of course
I was worried for a split second that my car would need an Umweltplakete to be allowed in or near D'dorf. It doesn't neither do I (legally that is).

... I must have done several things wrong for a very long time all I ever had was a rusty old bicycle
now I have a rusty old car
and all the private chauffeurs I had made their trains leave too early; before I even got in

You can call me TC Posted Aug 1, 2008
I suppose I'd better book a train and find a room, too. First, I'll see if I have a map of Düsseldorf. Only a week to go now!
