Hmmm... tough one. We've all been there * * but as I haven't been to the other place, can't give an authorative answer on that one. Have we got any true romantics out there...?

irreparable damage is just that - sometimes it wakes you up, makes you realise that love made you blind (or deaf, or just stupid) sometimes it hurts like hell to realise that you can't get over or around this issue and it's over. or so i've heard.

and i agree about it not being possible to turn the clock back to zero - every interaction we have everyday changes us in infinitesimal ways, so a relationship can change us hugely, not necessarily so that other people will notice, but perhaps in our internal caution mechanisms.

what fails to be explicable to me is people who do irreparable damage when you're in the relationship and then continuing trying to once its over, at the same time as trying to convince you to come back. some people are so incredibly stupid. if someone breaks up with you because (warning: frivolous example ahead) you hum while you watch tv, humming while you're watching tv while you're trying to talk them into coming back to you is NOT going to work. sorry, i warned you it was a frivolous example.

Why is it every time i come to this page, every ones going on about break ups and relationships being all over...Surely there's more?

well it wasn't utnil someone asked what love is not, and i just unleashed all the bitter fury inside me. sorry, about that.

so back to love is...

...still being happy when you constantly get no sleep. and that need not be considered dodgy.

I think probably there are a few single people here, and ultimately single people are either all soppy-eyes about the loss of their one-and-only-true-love, or twisted and bitter about the bastard/bitch you had the temerity to do that/not do that, etc. Either that, or they've well and truely got over it, and are no longer concerned with things like love - lucky bastards.

Other than that, we're all normal - honest.

Yeah. I tend to do stuff like send roses to my girlfriend or chocolates (and then help her work off the calories), or turn up to her house with a bottle of champagne or a little pressie.

sorry, it was just my postings list kept coming up with a new posting which i was damned if i could find (i still can't) anyway, where is everyone? did you all find love and leave me all alone?
