I've got a quick question, maybe someone can help answer:
What are tok'ra? Are they genetically distinct from goa'uld, or are they members of the same symbiote species that just decided they didn't want to be all-powerful and creepy?

Actually, Tok'Ra literally means against Ra. If you think back to the movie the first bad guy was Ra. The story line goes that the Tok'ra saw what Ra was doing and they rebelled. There is no genetic difference between the symbiotes in the Tok'ra and the Go'uld. However, the Tok'ra symbiotes are all spawned by the origional(sp?) symbiote mother of the Tok'ra. Since she was not evil and power hungry like other symbiotes and since she passed all her genetic knowledge to her offspring (as all symbiotes do) her offspring also "had a conscience" if you will. Thus was born the Tok'ra.

And the Tok'ra don't use a sarcoughagus which they believe drains the good from the soul, hence it's the use of it that keeps the Goa'uld evil, and the Tok'ra only take willing hosts

Hey Reef! I've got a suggestion that might make life easier. How about a rule on the duration of gate openings? Say, gate stays open for five posts, or until everyone from the team that opened it gets through.

I told him he'd be welcomed back, he said he was having to give up all his h2 work because he didn't have the time, he works 40hrs a week and studies at community college, thats dedication for you
