*Nodds to Walter, walks up the ramp and through the gate.*

*Bounds into the gate room.*

Hey! Walter! Dial up the moon where things went pear-shaped, will ya? I've got a critter to return.

[Walter] Sorry, Ma'am, the Colonel left me with clear orders- no one is to go there before they check in.

Ah, c'mon! It's pretty simple- I mean, how many jaffa could have possibly been there?

*Rodgersmith trots into the Gate Room, snaps off a hurried salute to Scandrea and then stops and /stares/ at the antelope, who shuffles behind Scandrea nervously*

[R]: Lieutenant Rodgersmith reporting for duty ma'am. Major Travelyan sent me...*she continues to stare at the antelope as her face slowly melts into a grin*

*Leans over to meet her eyes.*

Hi Lt. It looks like we'll be waiting for a little while...

*Looks at the antelope, then at the lieutenant.*

~~All right- something's strange here.~~

[R]: That's alright ma'am, however long it takes. If there's anything you need to fill me in on...

*she looks at the antelope again*
Did the doctor tell you that I once spent a year working with a nature reserve in Malawi?

What did you do there?

*wonders why so many people are in the gateroom while the gate is still open. Heads up the ramp and through the gate, followed by Lt. Huan and Sgt. Arthur*

*Waves goodbye.*

*Rodgersmith watches the team as they go through the Gate and then turns back to Scandrea*

[R]: Oh racing around in a jeep checking on the animals, cutting back gorse and the like so the big cats didn't get thorns in their paws, chipping animals so we could keep track of them, watching for poachers, seeing lions hunt antelope...er...yeah well, anyway I thought that might be why I was asked to come with you. I saw a lot of antelope and learnt a lot about them, I don't know if your er...creature? is the same sort of animal though...

*shrugs*

I don't know- we saw them grazing in herds, this one got separated and started following me around. Have a look, if you like.

*Rodgersmith crouches on the floor and looks from the side of her eye at the antelope, before slowly stretching a hand out towards it. It skitters backwards behind Scandrea and bumps into a storage case. Startled it leaps back towards Scandrea and sticks its head between her legs and crouches down*

[R]: Well...it's certainly skittish like an antelope!

*Looks down.*

Now stop that- be sensible!

*Steps away.*

*Wormhole appears, Nuge's entry code. Nuge steps through and stands at attention at the bottom of the ramp*

*Rodgersmith looks away from the antelope to look up at the Gate, she quickly stands up again and stands to attention facing the Gate*

[R]: Colonel seems to be coming home...

*Comes through the Gate*

Keep guards posted in here until everyone is through, Walter I want Lt Thamian's IDC locked out, I also want all the codes changed for all teams and our allies, he made a few threats so I don't want him getting access by the back door, I also want a warrent posted on him, send it to all teams and allies, even the System Lords if you want, I want him arrested on sight and brought back here, shoot to wound, I want him alive

*Walter looks startled*

[Walter] Yes Ma'am

*Yanks Rogersmith and the antelope behind some blast doors.*

Yeah, I'm here- I was going to take the antelope back.

Not a good idea the place is swarming with jaffa and an extremely pi$$ed former employee of ours, no one, not even your four legged friend there is safe, do you think he'll be happy in a kiddies zoo?
