The Big Count and Election Party!
Kleopatra Posted Oct 7, 2005
Well, my congratulations go out to Hyp. *tips hat in a congratulatory manner* But what exactly a President does? Now that is a different story altogether... Or is this sort of one of those things where the office is just created in a noble effort to draw attention away from the real power? *suddenly gets gagged and dragged off*

Thanks Jodan.
Hopefully Croz'll post the results somewhere on one of the prez election pages - the backlog's a bit tricky to find things in.

Is this the point where a military coup takes over the government in indignation?

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side... Posted Oct 8, 2005
What a party, am sorely upset that I managed to miss the goings on here last night, but I had a busy night in the neighbourhood smashing hedges.
First off, congradulations to all teh candidates who ran such a wonderous campaign through the inner depths of HooTooo. Eternal gratitude to Croz as returning officer, and from what I've seen of the backlog, for building a tremendous hyp in procedings, despite there being no Mr Snow with his swingometre. Congradulations to Hypatia for fighting a clean challange to the other candidates, and coming out on top. But perhaps most of all thanks to all those researchers insane enough to have actually voted for me and the MRBP. In coming second in the election, this will give me more time to establish the Kingdom of 2legs, and distroy many many hedges, hedgeros and hedgehogs.
Unfortunately in not winning, my imaculately written acceptance speech is redundant, but at least I don't need to stand down and give the presidenship to the second placed candidate as was my intention all along.
everyone Myself RF and the VP from Seriph's party, Roymondo, will be meeting in London this evening, to discuss future hedgeamoni smashing plans and of course, I should thank my running partner, and campaigns manager, also thanking the Badger, my parents, my brother, the churchill dog without whom this would not have been possible, and of course the one true BoB for inspiring me, and let us not forget nighthoover without whom I'd almost certainly have forgotten where I put my keys, and last but not least, Brent, a guy I once met in a pub, for no reason other than he left one day on a boat...
