Think I need a drink. The power's only just come back on after going kaputski just before 7.
What've I missed?

okay for you?
Count yourself lucky. Our local fooball club's changing rooms have been without power for over a week now. Ditto the nearby streetlights and the swimming baths (I think the baths have got a generator from somewhere, though). Hurray for the County Council.

Looked at the quiz, Granny, and thought it were a bit hard. I might have a try, though.

Apparently it was an overhead powerline had gone down. Where though I have no idea. Worsley was out, and so was most of Boothstown. Ellenbrook and Walkden were still lit up like a

It's a bit odd that we've got power to the houses this side of the railway, but there's none the other side, the street lights are out both sides, and hang on a min ......Old Clough's back on but our's are still out, and it looks like the houses on Old Clough and the Golf Club are still out

There was this old toilet block that's been unused for about as long as I've been alive. The council had it demolished last Saturday morning and the power's been out ever since. It's interesting the chaotic way the power's arranged, with streetlights, baths and changing rooms out of power, but clubhouse and floodlights okay.
We've run a cable from the kitchen to the changing room for light, but getting enough hot water's more of a problem, so the away team had to be bused across town to the Rugby Club.

I did the quiz. I may be collecting the wooden spoon with one correct answer (like Eddie and Joan in Early Doors).

Simulposts are fun.
A few weeks ago the council lawnmowers took out two pine trees as well.

Turns out using industrial sit-on mowers on a 40 degree slope in the mud is a bad idea.
Replace the trees? We'd be happy if they just cleared up the empty beer cans that were revealed. Not going to happen, though.

Or that a treasure map will be revealed when the changing room lights come on again. Possibly with a staff thing like in Raiders of the Lost Ark.
