Hello.
Wonder if you can help. I've been using h2g2 for some time without any problems, but I've recently noticed that when I go to access the site (it is set as my 'home' page) I get the server not found message. Initially I thought this could be because of maintenance, and it being very busy, but sometimes I get this message while being transferred to my space after logging on, and in conversations too. the refresh button doesn't always help.
I have not changed any of my IE settings recently, and I always log on from the same computer. (but I don't use 'remember me'.)
Any suggestions as to why this could be happening?
Thanks
Kaz

"First a question: 'What is the exact address you are using as your Start Page?'
The effect seem to be more or less similar as caused by the 'Server Too Busy' state we see lately too often. The Server does not get the pages delivered in time and gives a 'Server Too Busy' message, however if the server does try to reply with the correct page this can take a while. The Default configuration of your browser does have a timout too, if this is reached before the page is received complet, the browser will 'give up'.

Um, I'll go and check the address. I think the one I'm using is http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2
but I'll doublecheck.
Will this be a problem then? I updated the address in my settings because my browser used to redirect all the time, cos the address wasn't right.
I'll have a look at that link too.
Thanks

have decided to copy and paste address from the front page into my settings, just in case. So far only one error message! Fingers crossed!
Kaz.
