Phil, I spoke of going back to 1988, not just because a man named Bush will be in the White House again, but so, it seems, will many of the same advisors who handled that administration.

In other health news, my alcoholic 40-cigarettes-a-day smoking younger brother has been diagnosed with emphysema and hepatitis C. The latter would be from blood transfusions many years ago -- from what I understand it is a blood-borne pathogen. He's in another state right now, but I think even if/when he comes down here I will be in no danger as long as we use the dishwasher to sterilise all utensils and crockery. He is sanguine (you should pardon the expression) about it.

I don't mean to bring everybody down. But if I post just a little less than usual, you'll know why. I come here to cheer up!

Heya, I try to stay up late. Sorry for the absence. It has been a busy week. I have been training new hires at work for the last week, and have the rest of this week to go. Also person life is interupting, so I apologize for any absence that occurs in the next few days. If you want you can check my journal for more info, I do not want to bring the tone down here. Matina, a please. I have a need for a beer or six....

Unfortunately l've no pics, as l've no scanner. Some of them were on the web some time ago but things have changed, trainers have moved and they are no more.

However here are their vital stats.

Short list (more details to come):

Bess: 16h strawberry roan mare, 10 yrs. old, quiet, reliable, sweet.

Abbie: 16.3h Thoroughbred bay gelding, 16 yrs. old. Ex event/steeplechase, but absolute packer; jumps anything, patient. Goofy but sweet personality. Mild stifle problem, but causes him no trouble.

Rollie: 15.2h lrish Draft/TB cross mare, chestnut, 7 years old. Bit tricky at times but will jump the moon.

Rue: 17h Hanoverian mare, bay, four white stockings and snip on nose, 6 years old. Not too experienced but dead quiet, nice mover, starting dressage, schooling training/1st level.

Nimbus: 16.3h Dutch warmblood, 13 years old, bay. Schoolmaster, through 4th level, will do it all, also jumps.
