Everyone seems to have made it through alright. Yeah!
Tom Lehrer on Ask H2G2, eh? He's the reason my name is Gw7en, you know. Its kind of like Hen5ry, only not...

Hello.
Things are much better now that the earthquake has corrected itself.
Matina, a Y of chablis, merci. It looks like its going to be one of those nights, IRL...

Why, what's up Gwen?
(could really do with a drink IRL, but is at work. Damn this incessant shiftwork!)

(I have the same problem, IRL, except that I always work the late shift... 1-9 pm Mon-Fri)
Well, our company bought two other companies back in June and we've been training to support their software as well as ours. And I am the lucky person who is stuck supporting all software rather than just one. It's driving me insane!
Ah well, at least I have the haven of H2G2 to bring me slowly back to normal. If this is normal...

I would be carefull in calling the guide normal... Some of us prefer to think of ourselves as rather unnormal

Ooff! Nasty one, my sympathies *hugs*
Mine's more along the lines of "Just been outsourced to IBM, and nobody knows what's going on. A very large void where once there was communication".
*pours Gwen another glass of chablis, and helps himself to one*
Here's to naff jobs and hoping we come out the other side unscathed
Cheers YY

Thanks, B17. It's nice to have a sympathetic ear. Yours doesn't sound like it was that much better, either. Hopefully, the communication will come back. Cheers.
Marv, you're right about abnormality, so how's this: "H2G2 helps me return to a normal and acceptable level of abnormality"? Yes, I think that works very well indeed.

On an aside, my father (who's birthday it is today) always said madness was hereditary. You get it from your kids! What does that say about me?

Gah. I love being in support. I swear, usually at my customers but oh well... Tell me again G7 why did I take this postition?

For the money, I think. Just keep concentrating on the eventual pay check and you should be ok.
Happy b-day to your father, B17! You know, its odd but my parents always said the same thing... I'm convinced that heredity in that case is a two-way street.

Probably right, Gwen
One of my colleagues just informed me he has a cold, so I said don't give it to me, so he said don't kiss me then, so I replied Don't ask me then!! Yes, it's bizzare the conversations you have with work colleagues at 02.13 BST on a Friday night (not that the time or day has much to do with it)

Many of the conversations that I have with cow orkers are simple bizzare. Anything from ansient battle techniques to examining the lint in our pockets.
