Good to see you, Marv! We've had snow in Albuquirky. It's still snowing, actually. We do love to see any precipitation in these parts.
The wind storms are becoming a regular winter occurrence in Europe, aren't they. I can remember windy days, but nothing like the storms you're getting every winter, now.

Sorry Whiskey lovers I'm another non-scotch person.
Used to like one or two but not any more.
Self inflicted in my case, we ran out of beer on my 21st and there were some bottles around...
Never liked the smell since.

Snow in Albuquerque? I didn't think that was possible
The weather is changing in Europe, but I'm not convinced it's changing as much as people worry. We seem to be getting it in short, sharp burst rather than long drawn out periods.

Snow in Albuquerque?
Does that mean Lil is pulling handbrake turns in her harkonnen across the car park at ASDA (or parking lot at Wallmart as you may prefer)
and I thought you only turn left at Albuquerque

We had surprisingly good weather this autumn/early winter. Really cold weather started only 2 weeks ago (in other years snow in late October is not unusual). I guess we'll get an icy cold January and February again, because at some stage winter always comes.

I've read 41 of the authors.
We're supposed to get snow mixed with rain tomorrow. I'd be surprised, actually, but we'll see. No way it would stick, of course.

I can confirm that Sven has arrived in the far south of Sweden. House is creaking and lights flicker.
I may go to bed with a book.
A very special book, that just arrived.
By some bloke from here arounds.

I think the vanguard of Sven is here - we've got snow mixed with rain forming slush on the pavements, beginning to freeze. Everyone's walking very carefully.
While waiting for the bus home after shopping groceries on the way, the wind started getting stronger, blowing various small objects past the bus shelter.
Am w*rking from home tomorrow, just in case...
And hi Marv!

Oh, pobrecita! (poor thing, female gender, Spanish).
Still snowing heavily here; kids have been let out of school early. I too am in bed with a netbook...

And Bald Bloke, no way are we being allowed out of doors on wheels. Harkonnen has six wheels, but the front two are like casters, plus there is no differential. The first slope I encounter... well, results would be tragic. I must find out what the smokers are doing.

No more snow since Monday in SLC, but it's bitterly cold. 5F this morning when I walked the dog.
Hmm, where's that bourbon now? I think I need a warmup.

I probably shouldn't shout it out anywhere more public than here but *whispers* I've never tried whisky
Irn-Bru on the other hand. Yumm
Ans I'll have a tunnocks teacake while you're there.
It's snowed here too. Sven caused a fair bit of damage here in Scotland. I stayed indoors with R and panicked slightly about the possibility of the electricity cutting out for more than a few seconds.
I'm going to hand in all the Sig.ed paperwork for the house tomorrow.

Nelson Mandela comes next on my list after Mahatma Ghandi of gentle people who've helped change the world.

Sven was for some reason called Bodil in Denmark. I managed to escape her wrath by flying off to Nodnol Thursday morning and am now Santraing from LHR en route home where things seem to be quiet once again
Bit early for me . But as I was (co-)hosting a meeting Thursday and Friday, it didn't seem proper to catch a flight out before the participants... The SAS lounge should be opening - time to go catch some breakfast including and , methinks.
