Would you believe, that one was new to me? But never actually followed the ABBAers much after the split.

Welcomes to pebblederook smiley - bubbly - but look after that hairdo, will you? smiley - winkeye

And smiley - applause to the NaJoPoMoers!

Last week was probably the toughest w**k week I have had for ages - high-level meetins Mon-Tue, travel Wed-Thu, 6 (!) bookings in my calendar Friday smiley - online2long

Rounded the week off with a good scouting weekend - at least that gives the brain rest from the workload. The troop leaders need to work at being better at hitting the sleeping bags instead of making conversation and sorting out the world until 4am in the morning... smiley - yawn

Celebrating my 10 years anniversary at w**k today smiley - yikessmiley - smiley There is a small reception thing at 3 - well, it moved to a larger conference room, so I am actually wondering how many will turn up.

smiley - laugh Oh Santra, give me a few more years to wear down the remaining key symbols, and I'll have an 'elite bad *ss typist' keyboard for free

The solution is an illuminated keyboard -- the letters are etched rather than painted or glued on. Plus they are indispensable for aging eyes at night.

I just had to wrench myself away from amazon -- they're doing a huge sale in ebooks, and I can utterly destroy my finances with 1.99 here, 2.99 there, another 99 cents there...

And it was strange not to feel the pressure of riting another journal yesterday, although I have stuff to say. I might get down to it today...

You could always have a go at illustrating the Special Collectors Hardback Edition of Endangered Creatures smiley - winkeye

I'm actually thinking though, I'm going to get the manuscript for the second one sorted out, and send it off to literary agents and see what happens there. They may well (hopefully) want to take on the first one too, which'll probably mean they're in charge of releasing the hardback but I'll have to see. They may not even want to bother with the books at all.

I've sent review copies out to a few book bloggers, and am waiting to hear what they think of it. It's very, very tense and nerve wracking stuff.

I think I'll need another G&T thanks Martina smiley - erm

Yeah, when I was reading it it was the same book as the early chapters you sent, but different, and I kept visualizing scenes in my head. smiley - artist

I think, reading it again, it's a bit obvious where I stopped for a while, and then carried on. Because there's a definite start, and you can see it going one way, but then it segeways into a totally unexpected direction.

The second one's doing the same smiley - erm

*sighs*

Just tried to post a new journal, on my user page for a change. Can't see it, refreshed twice, even refreshed using Ctrl+F5 (and checked my F key lock wasn't on - not sure why my keyboard has such a function, it's confused me a number of times). Nada.

Ah well, copied it into Notepad and saved it. Mayhaps tomorrow.

Matina, keep those G&Ts coming, please!

I can confirm you haven't (successfully) published a journal entry for four weeks, Ti.

Sorry for long absence. Oddly I seem to have found time to come on here the day I started a new job. On which note I wish the blimming Jobcentre would pick up the phone so I can tell them about it...

So, Matina, could you prepare me a vodka & vimto (standard drink of the FC&MSASC A732458) as a well-deserved tonic after a tiring day of watching people work and then asking, "Is this right?" over and over, please?

Not sure why anyone would want an ass typist keyboard, bad or otherwise.

The 5 day weekend was nice (even if the first day was steam-clean-the-whole-house day and the next was thanksgiving) but this was not a fun morning. Still no idea where Notepad's coat and backpack aresmiley - erm The students were fun, too.

I find out tomorrow night if I have jury duty the next day--I'm not sure if I want it cancelled or not...

Bagpuss, when participating in NaJoPoMo I didn't want to swamp people's MP pages, so I did like I've done previous years - create a separate entry for NaJoPoMo and post there: A87814984

This time however, since Novermber is over, I tried to post a journal the usual way, on my user page.

*tries again*

Nope, still no journal.

Matina, a Lassi please, skip the mint.

Titania, is this in Pliny you've got issues? If so, are you able to write the journal in notepad of something, and paste it in and post okay?

Titania (gone for lunch)

Pastey, no, it's in classic (Goo). I'll try it in Pliny when I get home today, got the journal saved in Notepad.

I'm afraid there's not much more we can do with the older skins smiley - erm

On the plus side though, I'm working through the final list of things for the new version of Pliny and there's only 26 items left. Although I may have already fixed several of these smiley - smiley

pebblederook-The old guy wearing surfer beads- what does he think he looks like?

Pastey, my recent history hootoowise is the same as Ti's. Exactly the same set up re the NaJoPoMO, entry plus convos. So I just did a test journal, first for 3 months, in goo, and it worked fine.

So not a system problem. (Unless someone fixed it in the last few hours?)

Goo's not been worked on for quite a long time, months if not close to a year.

And I can testify that it showed up just fine in my convo listsmiley - ok

So, yeah, Ti, it's probably just Goo. Though I posted my journals all month in Brunel, to avoid the "post-not-rendered" thing in Pliny, so maybe I broke that bit of Ripleysmiley - run

During testing we've actually discovered that there's a timeout limit on writing entries, journals and posts. It's around the 20 minute mark, and we're looking to fix that in a future release.
