Love the new front page, particularly liking the Entry on finding decent information on the internet.

Slugs three floors up? Might have come with some plant or soil, I doubt they'd creep up the wall that high.
Am feeling cynical this morning...
In Swedish news this morning: 8-year-old killed by falling gravestone. Why did it fall on her? Because she was climbing it, and it tipped over.
Now, while it's a terrible loss for her parents, relatives and friends, I'm wondering what the she was doing climbing it? To me, a graveyard is a place where you go to rememeber and respect your dead - it's no freaking playground!
And then that disastrous earth quake in Van, Turkey. One of the people trying to dig people out from beneath fallen buildings to a TV reporter:
'We have no tools!'
Eh... what? Van is a fairly big and modern city (at least it was when I visited in '92, don't think that has changed). People live there, they eat, sleep and work. There are businesses, industries, stores. It is *not a refugee camp in the middle of nowhere. Of course there are tools available!
*grump, grump, grumpity grump*

Oh, you lot are funny bunch! I've been reviewing old threads saved from ~way back~ and then some. Everything from "The Siege of Galyana" to the "Hunting the Goo Spruce" adventure to watching a knock-down-drag-out altercation in the Aroma Cafe featuring a CLI Bot and Ordradek. What a wealth of history and interwoven community we have here.
Happy Halloween (coming up)!

I use Brunel, Firefox, and while the FrontPage is a little tidier in some ways, it isn't at all compressed

Stuck using Internet Explorer at the moment because of being in the office. Noohootoo and IE7 are not bestest pals.

That's nothing... Couple of years ago I worked for a place that still had Pentium IIs running Windows 95!

The Front Page is Keeping Left in Goo too. Not sure how to blame the squirrels for that one, but I'm sure they're behind it somehow.

Stuck with IE at w*rk, and IE7 is the buggiest version I've come across - several times, the browser just shuts down, sometimes it refuses to load any pages, and it loses cookies once in a while.

G'mornings, all.
My week on call is finally over and I was able to hand off the pager. Which means that I will get some sleep tonight!

Morning, all, front page looks fine in Goo to me. Both in real Safari, and in my iPhone's Safari.
