Have the bots packed the inflatable squids? We've got to have them at an Atelier party.

*Registering at the Transit Lounge, but notes that there doesn't seem to be a turn-down service with a chocolate on the pillow*

I think it might be a bit weird, reminding myself to start typing "h2g2" into Firefox's address-bar smart-autocomplete, instead of "bbc" ...

They went down to the beach a while ago, the inflatable squids. I think they like it down there. The tent is up, and there are folding chairs and rugs and all.
The database has been transferred away from the beeb, so I have no idea whether anything will be preserved that we're saying since yesterday. Isn't that a thought? Nobody say anything consequential!
So. Farewell then, BBC.
What was Peter Cook's pseudonym when he wrote those awful elegies?
*floats restlessly around the room, keeping an eye on the taking down of the curtains* Ewww, cobwebs.

I'd best get a move on and get down there.
I wonder if Greensleeves will make an appearance to do a bit of crooning for us all. If nothing else we di (and still are) doing it our way

I will register in the lounge tomorrow. See you all at the party.

Now I'm wondering what it would actually look like, within a digital world, to have everything get "shut down" and then rematerialize in another world ...

Did you ever read Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson?
Nice clean 1's and 0's, maybe.
We'll have brand new upholstery and I'm having the rugs steam cleaned and the curtains dry cleaned, and replacing the box spring mattresses in the guest rooms with adjustable memory foam mattress beds. And we'll repaint. I thought about moving the rooms around, but this is a pretty good arrangement, and I don't want the salonistas bumping into walls on their first day back.
And with that, I'm taking my sleeping bag down to the beach.

A Mog's special please - and make it strong this time!

Oooo... I didn't know Lego made storage boxes as well - and lunch boxes. And you can build with them!

Well, we do live in exciting times as the Chinese have it
Dropping out of internet when we cross the German border in about 4 km (well, I don't technically, but roaming charges y'know...) so see you Monday if our dwellings do not have interwebs...

Whoa! Are we still here? It's the same but all the same not quite the same. The furniture is looking a little bit more burnished and worn, as if it might give way any moment.
Still I'm sure the fireworks will be good.
You know while it's not the tombstone party quite yet as one of those of up who has been around a while I'd like to have up all take the traditional toast - to absent friends.
There have been many who have passed through these halls since we arrived here.
