Back from two weeks of cat-wrangling for absent friends. They got to kayak with alligators, I got to tend to litter boxes. Life is not fair.

Way to go, Lil!
Marv, DC has a quite good transit system, if you go there, look for places to live along the light rail routes. And !

Neat, Lil . Best of luck, marv (if you want it, that is)
It's about the samd with scouts and guides here - is and was, rather. We have two (major) scout associations. The "blue" scouts (my kind) have been girls and boys since 1973 - even then, you'll still find the odd local group that is boys or girls only.
The "green" scouts, a tad more attached to the church, surely do have a girl only organisation. Whether the other half is boys only or can be mixed, I'm not quite sure actually. May find out next summer when all Danish scouts have a major camp together

Ah, I know Lil's sense of accomplishment very well!
... now if only I wasn't seriously having some rather bad getting-myself-motivated-at-starting problems ...

Rain keeps pouring down
Rivulets run down the streets
Beneath steel grey sky
...and it's cold, had to wear a sweater over my T-shirt underneath my raincoat.

Good Doctor Zomnker (This must be Tuesday," said GDZ to himself, sinking low over his Dr. Pepper, "I never could get the hang of Tuesdays.") Posted Sep 19, 2011
Morning all.

I was never a scout (splitters!) but was in the true organisation that the scouts (founded 1907) are a splinter group of, the Boys' Brigade (founded 1883).
I was shocked about the air crash and heard it on the news on the radio over the weekend, but they never mentioned what type of plane, just that a 'World War II aircraft has crashed'. Just tragic - so soon after the Red Arrows crash at the Bournemouth Airshow too.

All because it would be abbreviated BB, of course?
At CPH once again - less than 24 hours after returning through the very same place en route home yesterday.
W**k this time, though - so I am pre-filling myself for a flight with only for-purchase sub-interesting food and a subsequent drive from Milan Malpensa to Parma.
A good avocado/mozzarella/tomato sandwich, a strawberry-apple-ginger juice and a double shot latte. I like my newfound favourite place in the airport, Joe & the Juice

*back for more tea and cinnamon buns* Yesterday, stylin'. Today, cookies.
Yar, did you say that you had written or were writing a game?

I was in the BB long before I was known as BB... But it is a pleasant coincidence I'm proud of.

I had no idea the scouts split from the BB. I just thought they were two similarish boys' organisations.

Porridge is a fine start to the day. Got to be Scott's with the giant grains though, for it to be proper.

Yes, Lil, I am. The details are a secret, though; I will say only that it is going to be a "bullet hell" shooter, programmed in C#. My motivation-killer is that I'm moving it from a system made by Microsoft, who have no interest in portability, to a more open one which you could natively run on Mac/Linux/etc, and I haven't even begun learning how to use the new system yet ...
