We had a smidgeon of rain last night and the strong possibility of more today.

*peers in the linen closet to see if Monty is hiding there. I am getting worried: put cats out at 10 last night, Maisie turned up for breakfast, but Monty, who has the really keen tummy-clock, didn't, and he hasn't turned up all day.

Have you called him? I once cat-sitted aa friend's cat, and he didn't come home. He didn't react to a male voice, so I had to go out in the pouring rain (I was ill) to call him. He came, and he was very poorly. A visit to the vet the next day showed that he had a gastro-enteritis.

When I cat-sat across the street, one of the cats would disappear for up to 4 days, which was stressful -- for me! Then she would show up covered in burrs but not particularly hungry.

I've had another attack of show-stopping cookies. I wonder which one is grabbing all the bandwidth?

Call me naive, but when I cross-posted that link earlier, I hadn't made any deeper connections about it -- I just thought it was a weird mask. Now it creeps me out, and if no-one else minds, I'm going to yikes it myself. Which I've never done before.

Am still feeling sick, but peed on a stick this morning and nothing doing. Was rather irrationally incredibly upset to see that negative result even though I knew it would be vanishingly unlikely to have come up positive. *sigh*

I missed it too. It wasn't a William Shatner mask, was it?

No, but the mods agreed with me that it was dead creepy. At first I just looked at the mask and thought, how weird and funny, but when I went back to it and looked at the whole scene -- a grown man wearing the mask and holding baby stuff -- I realized it was seriously hinky. We had rain yesterday, 3 thunderstorms in the course of the afternoon. Only 76ºF and the humidity is 40%. Perfect.

We had some rain overnight here, too. And it was sure welcome. We've hit quite a dry spell. We seem to either have too much rain or none.
