I hope you're going to be okay, Lil. Monsoon season hasn't really kicked into high gear yet, has it? Hopefully you can get the rain that will cut back on fire danger. Be safe.

Naps are good. I treated myself to a 30minute nap when I got home from work today and feel all the better for it.
Amazon support tell me they have sent out a new Kindle to replace the broken one. Now waiting impatiently for it to arrive. I'd just started 'The end of Mr Y' by Scarlett Thomas and hadn't really got into it yet but want to know what happens next all the same. If it had broken a couple of days earlier I'd have been interrupted in the middle of Neal Stephenson's Anathem, an excellent read. He does tend to write very thick books which are much easier to handle in e-form.

So, I bet Amy moves before I do.
I got a copy of an attorney letter notifying all involved parties that the buyer of my house has backed out. The original proposed closing date was supposed to be today. In reality, I couldn't book a moving truck until July 5.
So that nuked my plans to purchase the condo, which left that seller hanging. She's ok because she is relocating due to the closure of Fort Monmouth and the federal gubbmint will buy her house if she can't find a buyer by late July.
So, 95% of my belongings are packed, I sold or gave away all the big furniture that wouldn't fit in the little condo and I pretty much cried throughout the day at work yesterday. Still weepy today when I have to tell anyone what happened. I have nothing to sit on.

Glad things are looking OK for you Lil. You must really ride the roller-coaster of emotions with all these fire warnings.
Awesome volcano pics. I love seeing lightning photos. Having suffered a lightning strike in a Nimrod over Florida, its a phenomenon I really appreciate.
Did some tree-work for a friend tonight with a most acceptable outcome. Two more jobs lined up. I could get used to this. Two months until redundancy decision.

Oh witty - I'm so sorry.
iSantraing in from The Sleeper, where a very annoyed gentleman is telling everyone that he has ended up in a seat when he booked first class. The seats on the sleeper are the same size as first class airline seats.

Morning all - cool, grey, rainy. And our financial system has been impossible to log on to since lunch yesterday, and today we start closing the books for June. Hah! And it's *that* time of the month, so I'm already

IIEM, a Mog's special please - and make it strong this time! I think I'll pester our IT department a bit. For those of you who think that's a bit unfair, let me tell you that the logon session has timed out every 5 minutes or so since Monday *last* week, so they've had 2 weeks' time to w*rk on the problem, and all they've managed to do is to make it even worse.
