We should have a really big party, something on the order of The Celery's inaugural ball. I wonder what condition the l'Hotel Chrome is in.

Knowing the state of a /bunch/ of places in the H2G2-verse, I'd say a bit dusty.

Leicester Council can borrow my plan for an attack of zombies. Do what John Wynhdam advised in 'Day of the Triffids' and go to the Isle of Wight. Specifically, I'd go to Golden Hill Fort. That was designed to withstand an attack by the French army, so should be secure against slow-moving zombies. From there you could destroy the bridge over the Yar and isolate the Freshwater peninsula from the rest of the Island (using the surviving World War II Yar Stop Line defences), kill any zombies on the Freshwater peninsula and from there you could have a safe, isolated base with enough land to grow crops etc, from which to gradually recapture the rest of the Island from the zombie hoards.

Peninsulas and islands are the best bet in case of zombies, and the inhabitants are less likely to be infected...
