The full lunar eclipse that I saw a number of years ago was a good candidate for a once in a lifetime event. But I was standing on top of a 10,000 foot peak in the middle of a cold winter's night and the sky was perfectly clear for it.

Yes, that's what the laptop needed, a spring cleaning. It's back to its fast old self.

I need to set up a schedule for cleaning the library computers. My IT guy used to do all that but is having trouble getting over here lately.

I have no trips (overnight or day) scheduled to interesting places. I shall live vicariously through the rest of you.

In recent days, a beloved of mine has been working at scanning 40'ish years of photos. Loosely, this translates as her finding them, and I put in the time with a stack of prints and a flat-bed scanner.

Today, of all the years of stuff we have, I encountered two that I entirely forgot about. In June of '86, I assisted in a zillion ways to tidy and groom the homestead and gardens for the prize-child's wedding. My bride-to-be caught some pics ... One with my Dad, who met his own maker in February, and one with my mother-creature. In each, as I scanned them, I could see something bright on my pocket ...

A pin-badge, maybe 2.5" across, in big friendly letters that reads

BB, t'Other is also potty training, must be the time of year for it. He went through 14 pairs of trousers and pants yesterday! Only 4 pairs today, and the three accidents were all within an hour of swimming (and drinking half to pool) so I reckon it is going pretty well. (apologies to the non-parents in the salon, but this passes as a highlight of my year so far)

We had to provide kindergarten with an additional pair of pants and trousers. Although they only accept kids that are pott trained, accidents happen.
