Spring has officially arrived in the very south of Sweden, I hope it hurries northwards asap.
In Sweden, official spring is when the average 24-hour-temperature has been above freezing point for at least 7 days and nights in a row after February 15th. It appears that this usually happens around February 22nd, so spring is a little bit late this year.
Early winter and late spring - we've now had snow 1/3 of a year in a row, and counting. Still more than knee-deep.

Then it isn't spring here. -6°C the last two mornings... Lovely sunny and warm (-ish, everything is relative) in the days, though. Gives some hope that spring will spring.
No snow, though - so you can get a bit of meltmeltmelt from here if you'll then kindly share some nights-over-freezing?

It snowed last night, wish Spring would get here. Also wish all of this crap would get out of my sinuses and chest.

Perfect timing. The very next day after SMHI (Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute) had announced that spring had sprung in Sweden, the very first crane landed at Hornborgasjön - a tremendously popular stop-over for cranse migrating back up north after having spend the winter season in Spain and other southern locations.
The sight of thousands of cranes (they stay a while to feed and rest) draws lots of tourists. How about some bird-watching WA - eh, eh? *nudge, nudge, wink, wink*
