I'm at work, after being out last night until 1:00 am. It's a good thing there isn't much here for me to do today, because they weren't going to get anything out of me, regardless. smiley - winkeye

Hi Styx!
Did you come to any decision on that RBP (Rat Back Pack) thing?

Styx the Rat

*undoing elf lady present which won't last much longer*
*reaches in pack*

Styx knows what a metaphor is.
heh heh heh Bluebottle has monster park in his sewers. Sewers goes on for miles and twist and turn and run into caves. Then Bluebottle puts fences up between sewers and caves to keep monsters in sewers where they belong. Caves go on and on. Ant lady has sewers wired and even some tunnels beyond fences. But caves belong to me. I don't need equipment to find my way around and know what's going on.

And so I bring this back for you.
*rolls pearl color pale blue to Elf Lady*
Pearl of Great Price heh heh heh

Eat now.

Hey, that's good! Oh, Lil, about your question: there is one other CLI bot. BarBot 2000, as we call him, works at the Chrome's Hotel.

Is there a bar at l'Hotel Chrome? I just painted a doorman for Chrome but I don't know whether he'll like him. I reckon that Manuel Noriega would be looking for a job when he gets out of prison, and he certainly has the uniform to go with the job.

What does the barbot look like?

I missed Styx and Titania is gone for the night, but it looks like Styx is glad to have the postcard. At least, I'm not about to go over there and try to take it away from him.

I had a really peculiar experience this morning, here at this thread. I replied to Titania, and when I posted I discovered that there was a new thread with no subject. Now, you have to hit entirely different buttons in different places in different contexts to make new threads, so I realise it was an anomaly.

Therefore, I propose to ignore it.

Hi all, Just to let you know I'm back having managed to stay alive and complete enough drills to be certified as an open water diver. Wow it was amazing.
Will read the backlog when I get home later (I'm at work deleting the usual slew of weekend emails).

Hello Phil (and Lil if you are still there smiley - smiley ). I remember my checkout dive weekend. It was about 20 years ago on a May 24th weekend at Tobermory on Lake Huron (you know, one of the Great Lakes in Canada). The ice had been off the lake for only 1 1/2 weeks and the water temperature was 34 degrees Farenheit. I had a rented wetsuit and the glove had a split in the thumb seam, which allowed the water to circulate in my suit. As you know a wetsuit works by allowing in a thin layer of water between the suit and you. Your body heat heats it up instantly and it then provides insulation. That moment before it warms up, however, is a bit shocking in 34 degree water. And in my case, the thin layer kept getting replenished with fresh cold water. It would warm up quickly, but my thumb and hand went numb. By the time of my last dive, I had learned some tricks. The first was to borrow someone elses glove. The second was to take a thermos of warm water with me out on the dive and get someone to pour it down the back of my wetsuit just before I jumped in. The third was to smear vaseline on the exposed parts of my face. That provided a little insulation and slowed down the numbing to a rate that was somewhat less painful.

I haven't been diving in about 10 years, but I had alot of fun doing it. I once went for a week of diving to Cozumel. That was amazing. smiley - bigeyes
