Lil I expect the fridge being full is an effect of the Budweiser (US version), it has the same effect on me, Bloated out instantly, if I try drinking it.

*It's less full now* Sips Czech beer. Not bad bud.

Well, I need to get Garius or Affi here to deal with it anyway, because I am going to have a party here on Thursday/Friday in aid of my cyber-nephew, who leaves for Australia on Sunday. I reckon a lot of people will come for assorted reasons. For Quorthon I have to lay in a supply of babycham. I'll contact DD about pizza and antipasto, and I guess I'll do sausage rolls and ask Titania to do swedish meatballs ... and somebody can barkeep...
and it will be our first major bash here! Will y'all be able to come?

Alas, I will have to decline your kind invitation Lil. On Friday I am taking my visiting Aussie friends to Auckland (400 miles away) where we will be spending some time with mutual friends indulging in off-shore boat-fishing followed by on-shore drinking. Not sure when I will get back - it's warmer up north.

Thursday and Friday are my days off, so I'm sure I'll find time to attend. I may even be available to tend bar... you won't be disappointed with the results.
Colonel Sellers, who was once named for a drink that is a bit tricky to mix.

"What was it's name Colonel," types a man who once had a drink thrown over him at the Wellington Hotel in London's Sheperds Bush because he mixed it so poorly

There will be none of those here.
See that fellow down at the far end of the gallery? That's Babel-17 reading 10 days of backlog.

*sheepishly enters*
I couldn't do it! *breaks down in a fit of sobs* It was too much for me. So many fora, so little time. Tried last week to download for offline reading but it was all garbage! I didn't get my job, I came third, there were 2 positions available, and then my employers sold me and 504 of my co-workers up the swannee, and as of 1/9 we are going to work for the conglomorate that is HAL in another life.
And to cap it all, they blooming well ACE'd me! Sporky you are not alone! -P
*collapses in a heap on a beanbag, whimpering*

Don't worry about trying to catch up on old stuff. My general rule for a really old or busy conversation is to read the last several postings to get a feel for what's going on at the moment, and then plunge in.
Colonel Sellers, who has managed to keep up with the Atelier through all his endeavors except sleep... but is working on a solution for that.

Well, i wasn't doing too badly up until about the middle of the 17th then RL kicked in with avengance. However I did read all of this one before posting, so I am only 6 days out of pocket.

Babel, do you remember Quorthon's pet death metal rat? Well, he has signed on as a researcher and has become quite, er, independent-minded.
Styx, this is Babel-17 who has been working very hard lately and needs some rest and quiet. So be quiet or I'll drop this antique Seth Thomas mantel clock on your head.
*to Babel* That's how my nephew handles him. It seems to work.
