fuller's porter is quite nice, actually.
I'm so incredibly tired at the moment, and I just can't be. I'm dithering again. Argh.

*Stumbles in from the blog wearing a kilt, tunic, woad and wielding a big axe*
Hello. Finished LARPing now. Couldn't be bothered to change out of kit at the end of the event. My usual end-of-event report can be summed up thus: we got drunk and hit werewolves (wolfsbane on the blade of a greataxe in the small of the back is very effective, from "Raaaggghh! I'll kill you!" to "I can't feel my legs!" in 0.5 seconds).

I've never heard of it, and I've been to four weddings in the past 2 (one of which was my own), as far as I know the only people outside of the basic wedding party who should wear THE suit are the ushers. And even then it's optional, some ushers only have button holes or wear a specific colour.

Blessed nothing happened this afternoon. I read a pretty good mystery novel and played with the cats.
Goodnight, y'all.

Mothering Sunday is linked to the CofE eclessiastical (too many Ss and not enough Cs I fear) calendar and does indeed feel in March and, rarely, early April.
We have had really cold nights here, the last two have resulted in a frost. Don't know what is going on with the weather.
It seems the building development may never occur, but always the threat looming over us and affecting our house prices. The Borough Council are scrapping the cash together to appeal, as they are finally want to make a stand against the policy of squeezing high density residential sites into low density and totally altering the nature of town wards and villages. At least means that this summer we won't have the sounds of a building site to contend with.

*Feeling proud*
The Danes have collected 38 mio kr. (6,6 mio $/3,5 mio £) for the millions of children without parents in Africa, only 4 mio kr. (0,7 mio $/0,4 mio £) less than the donation for South-East Asia. We are 5,5 mio citizens.
It was called the DM (Danish Mastership) in Collection, the regions competed, and was originally timed for January this year - but then the Tsunami hit the coasts in East Asia.
I feared the Danes wouldn't donate as much for this silent catastrophy that has been going on, and on, and on.....a child dies every three seconds (or is it six?) in the world.

Another day shot and not much accomplished. Darnit. Although I did manage to get all of my writing portfolio papers edited. And then, just as I was printing the final cover sheet for the final paper, what should happen but the black ink cartridge goes.
I'm trying very hard not to just bang my head on my desk. Or, alternately, chuck the printer out the window. I am SO frustrated. I emailed it to myself, however, and hopefully that will help.
Do you think I should spend the extra 10 bucks or so and get the professionally bound with a cover? I'm thinking it might be the way to go. Make it look nice and all that. I'm all for looking nice.

Yup get it quality bound with nice gold lettering on the spine. It'll always look good on the bookshelf
I spent the weekend being a luddite in the countryside. Didn't get up to much - spent some time looking round a wildflower/cottage garden nursery on saturday and then having a look at the millenium galleries and winter gardens in Sheffield (oh and drinking some very nice beers on saturday night). I do hope the little tommato plants that got a bit frosted overnight will survive.

Keith Miller yes that Keith Miller Posted May 9, 2005
Just finished cleaning a whole load of fish caught by a young lad and his estranged Dad. The boy (named Matt)is out here with the backing of the ...Make A Wish Foundation... I,m just sitting down now to a coffee and a rather tasty Semmillon Chardoney from the Margaret River area. This after taking the boy on a long day trip along an untamed Australian beach, where he and his Dad caught fish all day long and then we drove off the beach through (what he thought was real jungle)...We kept reminding him that it was thoughts and ideas like this that cost his homeland their Empire!(After I said that this was just bushland between the Beach and the Sugarcane Fields, not Jungle!! Ahhh, but we ended the day with me(grrrrr) cleaning all their bloody fish!!! Whats changed his Dad said? Very bloody little apart from the fact that you can still manage to con us to do your dirty work!! Laughs all round and a firm promise from the young man in question to find out a bit more about life outside of Petersham! cheers from the other side of the World
