How's your Mom doing, Marv?

Just took her home from the hosp. They still don't have a good explanation why she gets the chest pain other than the internal chest cavity may be slow to heal. They are going to switch up her meds to see if they can get something that controls the pain better.

Marv, that sucks. Not knowing why is the worst!

"that is typical of New Brunswick to change the road name just because there's a curve in it."
Think that's bad. I didn't have to look far for this:
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&saddr=Eastgate&daddr=53.799206,-1.543107+to:Burley+St+to:Spen+Ln&hl=en&geocode=FebmNAMd0ovo_w%3B%3BFbXuNAMdfCfo_w%3BFRVKNQMdQ37n_w&mra=dme&mrcr=0&mrsp=1&sz=15&via=1,2&sll=53.801918,-1.552591&sspn=0.013179,0.038624&ie=UTF8&ll=53.798268,-1.55714&spn=0.01318,0.038624&t=h&z=15
I'm sure with a little more effort someone could find a dozen name changes without turning off.

Marv and Marv's mom.
Eliot got his Christmas present today: a new kitty tower. He has already worn himself out investigating, climbing and scratching it. I declare it an unmitigated hit!

I hope they can alleviate the pain for your mother, Marv...
We've been using artrage -- this is an interesting little app, but I can't find a way to extend the palette or blend the colors. It's also disconcerting to be working left-handed and yet see the brush work from the right!

Mornin' all!
Belfast has just this week opened the third lane on the Westlink, which is the main route between the 2 motorways, and is basically the city bypass. Previously rush hour involved sitting on the Westlink and inching along in first gear. Now you can glide along it at a very efficient 50...
What's the best way to proof read some music? I've written a piece for piano and oboe for my neice for Christmas, but obviously when I play it I know what the notes are - I'm not really reading them, so it's hard to check that it's written 100% correctly.

Is there software that will play sheet music for you? Then of course there's the problem of getting the sheet music into the PC.

There is indeed, and I looked at getting Sibelius, but it's a bit pricey for something which I do so rarely.

Beatrice - my father-in-law (professinal composer of folk-music) uses this:
http://www.finalemusic.com/Finale/Default.aspx
It has a free demo which ain't half bad.

Wouldn't know where to start with that, Bea. The only thing I could think of was to listen while somebody else played it and listen out for bum notes ... but then you wouldn't be able to tell if they'd just misread/misplayed.
Back to the drawing board.
Anyone got any suggestions for removing a recalcitrant youth from his bed?
I need him to come and shift furniture.
Blackmail and wheedling have already been tried. I'm giving it five minutes before heading for the cold water tap.
Harrumph.
