*nervously sellotapes her specs to her nose as a preventative measure*
Hello everyone. I'm taking a wee break from the sellotape and shiny ribbon. S is having the day off and is dragging himself back to the shops to see if anything, anything at all, could possibly be something his grandmother might like. I'm making . Shall I make lots?

I'll be calling a neighbor this morning to see if he can effect a spot weld for me later this morning. Otherwise I'm doomed to spend the afternoon at Walmart getting replacements, so I have already cancelled the movie viewing that was to happen this afternoon.
We had a very coral colored sunrise that looked beautiful on the hills.
This post-retro-Freddy period is analogous to the moment after you let go of the bowstring you were drawing back...

ie the moment it whooshes at high speed across your arm, ripping out all the small hairs, and then twangs painfully against your thumb? That moment?

That is a bugger.
Thank heaven for bracers and gloves.

Z, no need to fiddle with the BIOS settings. Just plug the drive in like a normal CDROM.

Nearly finished the wrapping. Am merely having an indecisive fit as to what to wrap in what paper - my sister (one of my many sisters) has a birthday a few days after Christmas (as do my Dad, my aunt, my uncle, my brother, my other brother, S's Dad, S's aunt and a dear friend - what is it with my family and the Spring Equinox? ). Do I give her the (hand-knitted by me before you sneer) socks for Xmas? Or the poetry book? Or what?
Oh, blast it, I must wrap S's presents before he comes back. I've forgotten about it until now and I KNOW he'll come back before I've finished - Ihid the blasted things too well. Argh. Excuse me a minute...

*Chloe removes the numeral 1 and affixes a wreath of balsam pine and yew to the wall*
Yay! You're done! *s Amy* And not before time.
I have to drive into Ruidoso now. Wiser heads than I have deemed my spectacle frames to be irretrievably broken. This really messes up my schedule.

I just heard some wonderful news that involves Wal-Mart.
I'll wait for you people to stop reeling at that previous sentence.
It seems that they're going to be matching Salvation Army donations that people make this year in order to offset some of the costs caused by Target not allowing the Salvation Army to collect money in front of their stores this year.
I never really shopped at Target much anyway. But this'll give me the incentive to refrain from it now that my school newsletter has deemed it the "cool" place to shop.
Even if I don't buy at Wal-Mart (since I'm all but done shopping, that's not too unlikely), I know where my Salvation Army donations'll be going.

GDZ will that also work if I also want to keep the current drive in place, won't I have to tell my computer to give them different names?

Montana Redhead (now with letters) Posted Dec 21, 2004
I wrapped all of Santa's presents last night and they are safely in the trunk of my car. We weren't planning on going to my mum's for Christmas, but she wrangled my ailing grandmother into calling me and telling me to "go see your mother, for God's sake."
So, Friday morning we are going to Arizona for Christmas. Now, here's my sadistic little twist. Mom doesn't know we're coming. Nor does Dad. I called her best friend and she is going to let me into their gated community and we are going to surprise them. Daarte and I are going to wear ribbons and bows on our heads.
I'm just hoping it isn't too much of a shock!
Ag, don't you hate when you hide the presents so well that it takes an hour just to dig them out?
I have issues with the Salvation Army because of their stance on homosexuality, but I think it's great that Walmart is going to match their donations!

Yeah, a lot of people don't care for that stance. I still say that they're doing the public a good service, though. For a lot of people, December just means that the coldest month of the year is upon them once again.
