Back from a lovely evening courtesy of another 'wonderful friend' who paid for it, because we'd planned it and she didn't want to cancel because I couldn't afford it.

Morning everyone,
Off to stay with some friends for the weekend but a double booking means I'll miss the orgy in Z's flat .
At the moment I am trying to drink the first cup of of the day, smoke the first ciggy, do my ironing, have a shower, (which will involve drying my hair - more
) AND chill out!
I do have plenty of time, but not unlimited time.
Have a good weekend everyone, and enjoy the orgy*, Z!
B
* I should explain that there are going to be Z, A and A's boyfriend B, not to mention KerrAvon and GreyDesk of this Parish and Master B and Odo as well, all sleeping in Z's 2 bedroom flat tonight. See what I mean about an orgy?

I shall miss the fun due to having to play the part of boss's wifey at dinner tonight.
*looks around for the cattleprod and appears to have regained the 28lbs she has lost*
I think Dewey is a name for a library
, as is Bookbinder which could be shortened to Bookie.

I was woken up at about five this morning by the noise of bins being moved and I assumed it was an early bin-emptying shift. Looking out of the window when I got up I saw the remains of three of the giant red wheelie bins - the ones the shops use - propped up against the wall of my parking space. They're completely flat as if they've been run over by a steam roller. The only ones to escape were those that were completely full. All the others have been crushed to some extent with their contents. Amazing. Has someone been driving a tank around the streets of Leeds?

Interesting start to the day Amy.
You Birmingham orgiasts, have a lovely time and may you wake tomorrow with only minimal hangovers and no disquieting memories of policeman-helmet-stealing or having done that awful thing with balloons that is so hilarious only after 10 pints. Post some photos so the rest of us can gawp at you.
I will be spending the morning - what very little is left of it - choosing things to put on the wedding gift list, and feeling abominably self-conscious and greedy about it too, no doubt. I didn't want to ask for presents or have a gift list, but my family, bless them, and his family, bless them too, are inveterate present givers and we had horrid visions of being presented with fourteen toasters, two cutlery sets, 30-odd mugs and a tomato knife, so I was talked into at least doing this in the spirit of getting things we really need and want. Having to think how to mention the gift list in the invitations whilst making it very clear indeed a present is not mandatory nor even expected. A friend of mine got married last year and the wedding invitation consisted mostly of gift-list and I did feel rather put out and under pressure to get her something expensive, and I most certainly do not want any of our guests to feel like that in the slightest.

Just home from a LAN party with a bunch of former cow orkers. It's been a long time since I've done a LAN party and it was a ton of fun. Now I just need to keep myself awake for another four hours...

It's 4 in the morning, and I'm sitting here munching tacos and watching Oxy and Panda have a mock battle of stunning proportions.
The problem with DR was rather easily solved, as I made an ungodly amount of money this evening in tips...enough to give her the money and have enough left over for 2 packs of smokes and tacos. And our mutual friend wrote me a check, which, depending on my bank balance come Monday(ish) may or may not have to be used at all....the universe has a way of making things work out.

OH! And I forgot to say that the BF is now the proud (and extremely relieved, I'm sure) recipient of an MFA in Music Performance, Voice. He took his written exams on Wednesday, and his oral exams today, and called me to tell me. I'm rather proud of him, although I had absolutely nothing to do with it whatsoever!

ltp, we still love you very much . You haven't been offensive and you're definitely not being sent to Coventry. I think your page broke because of something Jim Lynn did - and he seems to have fixed it for you
.
Congrats to MR's BF . I didn't realise he was a singer. I envy anyone who can sing - like most people I had the ability squashed out of me as a youngster.
I've been sorting out the bin problem. I left the scene of the crime alone as much as I could but I moved one of the intact bins that was partially blocking the road - it was forcing people to drive over someone's garden to get past it. No one thought to get out of their car and move the bin a few inches . The staff at the shop next door were unaware of the damage because they'd all come in through the front today but they've kindly taken on the task of sorting it all out. I must get on and tidy up just in case a nice young police officer comes to interview me
.

ltp dear, yes we love you in all your glorious free-associating semi-unintelligibility. I was pressed for time this week and didn't have the resources to do my own supplementary review of the previous conversation for awards and so forth, and had to depend heavily on Kelli for the introduction.
Who's going to scribe this time?
