Good Doctor Zomnker (This must be Tuesday," said GDZ to himself, sinking low over his Dr. Pepper, "I never could get the hang of Tuesdays.") Posted Dec 10, 2003
While I was out, I got a call for a job interview. It isn't anything spectacular or computer related (Walgreen's drug store) but, it's more job than I currently have.
In regards to instant coffee, whoever invented it should be shot and if they are dead, they should be dug up, reanimated and then shot.

Hypatia Posted Dec 10, 2003
*The Hypatia action figure with automatic shusher sits up primly on the setee and glares at the Affie impersonator puppet*
Remember the Taster's Choice commercials? The commercials were better than the coffee.

*The puppet isn't phased by this. In fact, there's still little evidence to indicate that it's actually moving. It just stares back and the Hypatia puppet, grinning that creepy grin*
*A message monitor floats up the stairs*
Dear Salonistas,
The government finally managed to get a spy onto the premises for long enough to discover that we had old wiring in our break room. Since that's the farthest they've ever gone, they just assumed that our wiring was faulty elsewhere. Since they're technically not incorrect about this, we're doing some wiring updates to the electric grid downstairs.
Unfortunately, this means that the electricity may go off from time to time. It might be all of it, or the lights might just flicker. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Well back at work again and happy to be here indeed. Got to see my niece in her first band recital and was very impressed by her. She's first flute and about the only one who took her instrument seriously. Let's hope she keeps it up.

Asteroid Lil - Offstage Presence Posted Dec 10, 2003
*The Lil doppelganger seems to have Plastic Man properties. Her hand shoots all the way across the salon as her arm stretchs, and she shakes a warning finger under the nose of the Affi puppet*

I swear, if that Affypuppet looks like it's moving one more time, I'm putting it in the crisper drawer, head first!
Egon, I'm with you. Just flippin'livid.
But Courtesy and I had a nice lunch today. The best part was the roasted pears (roasted in brown sugar and butter) on pecan-laden puff pastry drizzled with a balsamic vinegar reduction and topped with crumbled bleu cheese.
Oh, those were gooooooood.

Stop talking about desserts! Actually, I am surprised about how few cravings I have at this point. I have to admit that I AM jealous I didn't get to dine with two such wonderful companions, however Glad to hear you had fun.

Yeah, Atkins went out the window today. But I have worked out how many carbs I can have a week, and today was pretty much all of them for the week. I went to dinner with some of my coworkers and stayed with the meat.
But as of today, I'm down 48 pounds from where I was just six months ago. Okay, yes, some of it was my gallbladder deciding to go belly up on me, but still. I'd lost 35 before that, and am still going strong. I can see my collar bones again, and actually shop at Old Navy now.
Courtesy, you are a guy whom I wouldn't want to meet in a dark alley without a in my hand. Or maybe, just maybe, you're the guy no one thinks they want to meet in a dark alley, but really, you're just a giant teddy bear.
yeah, I think that's it. A teddy bear with .

Happy birthday, d'elaphant!

Shouldn't all teddy bears carry a ? Just a thought.
Glad to hear that Atkins worked so well for you, MR. I'm only just over a week into it, but am already down 5 pounds, so I sense great things to come.
Happy b-day, d'E! I had almost forgotten that you were another December baby!

Happy birthday, D'E !
I need to go on a diet as well to lose my spare tire. The cause is 1) too much beer and 2) constantly drinking soda at work. I need to cut down on the soda,as I'm not likely to cut down on the beer!

The thought of Bryce without an in his hand is, well, not a thought of Bryce at all!
Seriously, though, drinking water rather than soda will cause a remarkable difference in and of itself. And if you want any more pointers, I'm sure that there are plenty of them on the Guide somewhere...

*The puppet's expression doesn't change at all when a finger is wagged at it, or when people discuss pushing it into the crisper. After all, it's a puppet. Puppets don't have emotions, can't talk, can't move on their own. Right?*

Courtesy suprised me when I met him. Can't wait to visit again, in fact. Next time I am in the OC we have to arrange for MR Courtesy and myself to all be present together!
For the record, never try to read five fantasy books while playing a fantasy role playing game on your computer. You start to really loose plot lines that way.
I think that I will start up with Cryptonomicon again tonight. I need a little light reading.

*The lights turn back on. The puppet doesn't appear to have moved. After all, he's still in the chair he was in when the lights turned off. Might've been Chloe making all that noise*

Happy Birthday, d'E! If these lights keep going out we shall be celebrating in style with candle and fire light.
