Lil. I had hoped it might be something relatively simple, like my common misunderstanding of people and things.

Oopsie - BBC reporters in a bit of trouble - funny that I should first find out about it in one of the Swedish online evening papers...

I did type a reply last night about my tentative training scheme, but the internet disappeared, and then there was a massive thunderstorm, so I thought I'd better turn the computer off. It's a publishing company, and I haven't done anything about it yet.

Quick update on the Neanderthal household state of affairs: we are ready and the sellers have yet to instruct their solicitors... this doesn't sound very good, does it?
Titania, I also saw that piece. Can't remember where now but it was on some obscure RSS feed type thing. It annoyed me. One of the first things I noticed was that it was a private 'goodbye' party among friends and the second thing was that it was 'leaked' by someone who was angry that BBC feepayers were having their money wasted like this... Took me aback, that statement did. How does a bunch or work colleagues having a private party and doing anything (really, anything at all) at that party have any impact on the finances of their employer?
I've worked with people like this 'whistle blower' as I'm sure most of us have. They tend not to be invited to private parties A touch of sour grapes there, I suspect.

14-years wedding anniversary today - shouldn't really be on the computer when the Mrs gets home from weekly workout...

Congrats on your anniversary, SVG! (and *do* run, Rev Nick is right!)
Rev Nick, I took what ltp said as that he thought you were an American. But he's often mystical, so no bets on it.

I kinda thought that as well, but no worries. I've a very thick hide and not easily provoked or bothered.
And I too can be quite mystical, ... round about the 12th or 14th

I've seen internal BBC stuff leaked before. There was some executives attempting to rap on a training video that got posted on Flickr or somewhere. Frankly they made John Barnes look good at it.

And indeed i did think Rev was in the US, as thought we still relied on lookouts with binnoculars, the national bit threw me, as well given devolution for scotland ect
